Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday is a major Christian holiday, and it celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ three days after his death. As with many other Christian celebrations, it is considered to be a Moveable Feast, and its date always falls on the first Sunday after the ecclesiastical full moon, which happens between March 21 and April 25. Easter Sunday is not a public holiday, therefore most stores are open, as they follow Sunday business hours.

Good Friday in the UKGood Friday commemorates the day that Jesus was crucified. Following Jesus' arrest, he was found guilty of proclaiming himself to be the King of Jews. He was sentenced to crucifixion. This day is celebrated a number of ways. These include taking down the cross in the Orthodox faith to recounting the story of Jesus' last days, which is called the Passion of Christ. For many churches, Good Friday is the final service of Holy Week, following Holy Thursday and preceding Palm Sunday. Other churches hold an Easter Vigil on Saturday night to bring the light of Christ back into the church, according to wincalendar. |

Easter Monday
Easter Monday is a public holiday in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Under the Banking and Financial Dealings Act 1971, Easter Monday was not listed as a bank holiday in Scotland.
Since 1996, Scottish banks have changed their opening days to match those of England, which means banks are closed on Easter Monday in Scotland. This has resulted in a number of Scottish local authorities creating a public holiday on Easter Monday.
Easter Monday is a Christian holiday celebrated the day after Easter Sunday. Formerly, it was celebrated as Easter Week in many places but this was reduced to a one-day celebration in the 19th century. In many countries in Europe and South America, this day is known as "Little Easter". The Catholic Church calls it "Monday of the Angel".
