St. Michan’s Mummies

This Dublin attraction is a return to the crypts; specifically, St. Michan's church. The mummified remains of some of Ireland's most powerful families from the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries are buried deep beneath the church. Due to the dry air beneath the church, some of the remains are entombed in incredibly elaborate coffins, and all are in remarkable condition.
