Samsung Galaxy Note FE release date & price
At this point, we can’t give you a release date as Samsung is yet to confirm that this phone is actually getting a release. Indeed, we’re getting the sense from rumors abounding online that the fate of the entire Note series is hanging in the balance – the fact the Samsung S21 came with S-pen compatibility being something of an omen, reported Rolling Stone.
The Galaxy S20 FE was released in October 2020, so we’d not be too surprised to see the FE treatment applied to the Note sooner rather than later. That said, Samsung tends to launch a next-generation of Note devices around August time most years, so it might just reveal the Galaxy Note 21 and the Note 20 FE at the same time. (Sound confusing? Hey, Samsung's the company that rolled out the Galaxy S10 Lite a month before the Galaxy S20 launch in 2020.)
As for price, the Galaxy S20 FE costs $699, $300 less than the Galaxy S20's debut price. That $999 price also happened to be what Samsung charges for the Galaxy Note 20, so conceivably a Note 20 FE might go for $699 to $799.
Samsung Galaxy Note FE: Design
We expect the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 FE to be similar to the Galaxy Note 20, a phone that already had a plastic back, as opposed to the more sleek materials used in the Note 20 Ultra. It’s not necessarily a bad trade-off – the plastic in the S20 FE and the newest Galaxy S21 is actually quite pleasant to the touch and feels more upscale than the “glass” last name suggests.

However, the Note 20 FE could potentially have a larger display than the 6.7-inch Note 20 screen. It can choose a 6.8-inch panel and thus fit between the regular Note 20 and the Ultra version. After all, the Note phones were designed as big screen devices, and the S20 FE was larger than the standard Galaxy S20.
We also risk guessing that Samsung may offer a set of colors, as was done for the Galaxy S20 FE. This counteracts the stickiness of the delicate semi-metallic copper hues of full-size Note 20 phones.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 FE: Display
When it comes to the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 FE display, we expect Samsung to take a page from the Galaxy S20 FE book. This means that the 1080p panel has a refresh rate of 120 Hz, as cited by Tom's Guide.
Ideally, we would like to see a dynamic refresh rate so that the display can adapt to the content shown on it, scaling to 60 Hz or lower when a higher refresh rate is not needed. But this requires an LTPO display – something that can be found in the line of S21 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Here are forecasts are a bit murky.

In the Note 20 Ultra, the LTPO panel was the main feature. But since it is now part of the Galaxy S21 for $ 799, it seems Samsung can develop an adaptive display with a refresh rate on a scale. Thus, an adaptive refresh rate can be included in the Note 20 FE display without increasing the cost – at least in theory, as cited by Veriety Info.
One Note 20 FE leak seems to mention a 6.5-inch display for the Galaxy Note 20 FE; it is the same size as the Galaxy S20 FE screen. But, in our opinion, for a Note-Series phone, this may seem small.
We expect the Note 20 FE’s display to have smooth edges like the S20 FE, which isn’t bad, as it can make screen capture easier. And we would make a safe bet that the display will be very rich in color and will have a lot of brightness because Samsung is a great hand on the screens of various devices.

As for other features, we can expect the S Pen to become a major part of the Galaxy Note 20 FE, even after Samsung started expanding stylus support for other devices such as the Galaxy S21 Ultra. The S Pen is still an important part of the Note experience, so we think the Note 20 FE version will support all the features found in the standard Note 20 stylus.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 FE will give people access to an S Pen compatible phone without having to shell out money for some high-end features that they may not need or want.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 FE: Cameras
Photo: Hoang Ha Mobile |
When it comes to cameras, the Note 20 FE could go one of a few ways. It could simply use the S20 FE’s triple-camera array, comprising a 12MP main, 12MP ultrawide, 8MP telephoto with 3x zoom setup, which is a minor step down from the Galaxy S20.
Or it could take the Note 20’s camera setup, made up of a 108MP wide camera, a 12MP telephoto camera with a 5x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultrawide camera. There's also the Galaxy S21’s rear camera array, featuring a 12MP main camera, 12MP ultra-wide camera, and 64MP telephoto camera with 3x hybrid zoom.
Some combination of those various cameras could also be included, say a 12MP main camera, 12MP ultra-wide, and the 12MP telephoto camera. That would differentiate the Note 20 FE from the S20 FE, but keep it from stealing the thunder of the other two premium Galaxy phones.
