The mass shooting occurred on Loch Raven Boulevard near the intersection with White Oak Avenue, prompting a massive emergency response from local and federal agencies.

Baltimore County Police Chief Robert McCullough said officers responded to the scene around 7:15 p.m. after receiving multiple reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, authorities found a vehicle overturned and in flames, with multiple victims nearby.

"This is considered a mass shooting," McCullough stated during a press conference. "Our initial investigation suggests this was a targeted attack. We believe the individuals involved were known to each other, and there is no ongoing threat to public safety."

One person was pronounced dead at the scene, and nine others were rushed to area hospitals. The extent of their injuries varies, with some reported in critical condition. Evidence of gunfire, including bullet holes on a nearby building façade and shell casings, has been collected for analysis.

Law enforcement has not officially linked the two incidents but is actively investigating any potential connections. Rupnow is alleged to have left behind a manifesto that investigators are scrutinizing for legitimacy and motive. The document reportedly contained extremist views targeting men and those perceived as complicit in patriarchal systems.

Neighbors reported hearing more than a dozen gunshots during the Towson shooting. "It was chaotic," one resident told 11 News. "People were running for cover, and it was terrifying."

In response to the violence, authorities have closed Loch Raven Boulevard while investigators from the Baltimore County Police Department, Towson Police Department, and federal agencies, including the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), continue their work.

Baltimore County Fire Department has also been deployed to assist, and victims are being treated at multiple local hospitals.

Residents are being asked to avoid the area while the investigation continues. Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
