It looks like the iPhone 13 will address one of the few complaints we have about the iPhone 12: relatively short battery life.
According to a new investor note by Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will be able to give the iPhone 13 "larger battery capacity than the iPhone 12 series." This is especially welcome news, as we've found that 5G takes a serious toll on the iPhone 12's endurance.

The iPhone 13 is one of the hot topic smartphones of 2021, and the latest news on the handset suggests each of the handsets in the next iPhone family will feature larger batteries than their khoors. According to an investor note from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, and spotted by MacRumors, the iPhone 13 family will feature larger batteries across the board when compared to the iPhone 12 series. Kuo's information is often correct, but note that this is just an investor's note so there's no guarantee this will be accurate when the next iPhone family launches later this year.
"Hence, the new 2H21 iPhone models are also slightly heavier than the iPhone 12. The space-saving design includes integrating the SIM card slot with the mainboard, reducing the front optical modules' thickness, etc."
The 2H21 means whatever smartphones Apple decides to release later this year, and at the moment we're expecting them to be the iPhone 13 family but there's every chance this will be an iPhone 12S family instead. A space-saving design sounds like an interesting move by Apple, and any extra space inside the phone is sure to mean an improved battery capacity. A slightly heavier smartphone, in exchange for better battery life, is likely to be a decision many iPhone users will be happy with.
Apple's iPhones are never the go-to handsets if you want long-lasting battery life, so improve the size of the cells inside each of the phones may see some big changes so these handsets can better compete with the best Android phones, Techradar reported.

A Youtube video has surfaced on the internet with some interesting news about the upcoming iPhone 13. The video has been uploaded by Max Weinbach and on his channel, EverythingApplePro EAP. The video claims that the new iPhone 13 might light up portions of the screen for a brief time to show the notifications. This will help to conserve battery by not lighting up the entire panel every time. This iPhone 13 leak indicates that the makers have been trying to upgrade their display technology for the next generation iPhone 13. Apart from this, a popular number of people in the tech community are saying that the iPhone 13 is going to get a 120Hz refresh rate panel. Apparently, LTPO technology is going to be used to get such a high refresh rate panel. It is also possible that iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max might be the models that could get a 120Hz display.
A new iPhone 13 leak has been posted by MacOtakara website has talked about the design of the upcoming devices. According to the report, the iPhone 13 lineup is going to stick with the same design as the iPhone 12 that includes the bezels and flat edges. But apart from that, only the thickness is going to be different from the previous generation iPhones. The iPhone 13 might just be 0.26mm thicker. This could be because of any new update like more battery life or the rear camera setup tweak.
Popular analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has managed to come up with some predictions about the cameras in the iPhone 13 and all upcoming iPhone models that may arrive in 2022. As per the analyst, a lot of improvements are going to be made to the main camera of the 2021 and 2022 iPhones (tipped as iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 series). And for iPhone 13, Apple might just bring in a new improved ultra-wide sensor, and add an extremely advanced telephoto camera. iPhone 13 release date has still not been relieved by the makers, Republicworld noted.

The iPhone 12's release date was rather a moving target last year, thanks to the coronavirus pandemic. Instead of its traditional September slot, the iPhone 12 ended up being unveiled a month later in October. Whether Apple will revert to September or stick to October remains to be seen, but it seems safe to assume the iPhone 13 will land at some point in the latter half of 2021. That said, as last year proved, anything could happen.
We also have little in the way of pricing intel, but if previous product releases are anything to go by, we can expect the iPhone 13 range to be priced similarly to its predecessors. Starting at $699/£699 for the iPhone 12 mini and going all the way up to $1,099/£1,099 for the 12 Pro Max, there ought to be an iPhone 13 to suit a range of budgets, Creativebloq noted. |
