Sling is not actively offering free trials at the time of publishing. If that changes before we can update this article, you would find out by checking here.

You can also get a free trial by signing up through an app on one of the many Sling compatible streaming devices:

Amazon Fire TV devices

Android tablets and smartphones

Android TV

Apple TV

iOS devices

LG TV Smart TVs

Samsung Smart TVs

Xbox One

Below are the instructions for getting a Sling TV free trial, in case they start working again

1. On, click on the orange box in the header image that says, "Watch 3 Days Free." Note that Sling's terms of trial length are constantly changing, and it may also say "Get This Offer."

2. Enter your email address, a new password and click Register.

3. Select a service package. Your options are Sling's Orange, Blue, or Orange-and-Blue combo pack. Here's a rundown of Sling Orange vs Blue. Note the price differences: Orange gives you 30 channels for $35 a month, Blue packs 50 channels in for $35 per month, and the combo, which offers more than 50 channels, will run you $50 per month.

Again, the duration of the trial is always changing, so the Sling signup page may look slightly different.

4. Now, scroll through the extra channel options are. Here, you can choose whether to get more channels for an additional fee, like Epix, CMT, and others. You can also choose to sign up for Showtime and Starz. Additionally, Sling lets you upgrade to 50 hours of Cloud DVR storage (10 hours comes free) when selecting extras. When you're ready, click Continue.

5. Enter your credit card and move on. If I were you, I'd set a reminder that reads "Make sure you want to pay for Sling," set to a few hours (at least) before the date and time listed at the top of this page. After that point in time, Sling will begin charging your credit card automatically.

At long last, you've made it through the subscription process and you're ready to start watching content. If you're on a computer, Sling TV can either be used in Chrome, or you'll want to download its app to your machine. If you prefer to watch it on the Apple TV or another device, just download the app from the gadget's app store and input your credentials. If you decide you don't want to continue the free trial, here's info on how to cancel Sling.

New Sling TV members can get $25 off their first month

For a limited time, Sling is offering a $25 discount on the first month of service for new members. This brings the price down to as low as $10 for your introductory month. The promotion also includes one month of Sling's DVR Plus upgrade, which offers 200 hours of storage.

This deal often comes and goes every few months or so. Sling hasn't announced when the current "$25 off" deal will expire, so we recommend new subscribers snag the promo now before it's gone.

Subscribers can choose between Sling Orange, Sling Blue, or the Sling Orange/Blue combo plan to receive the $25 discount. With the deal, your first month of Sling Orange or Blue comes out to $10, while your first month of the Sling Orange/Blue combo comes out to $25.

You must provide an email address and credit card when you sign up. After your first month, your subscription will continue under the regular monthly price unless you cancel. If you want to keep the DVR Plus upgrade you need to pay an additional $5 a month.

Does Sling TV offer a regular free trial?

Sling's website does not currently include a regular free trial option, but the site has offered a three-day trial in the past.

People who sign up for Sling through the Sling TV app on select devices, however, can still receive a three-day trial. The app is available on most smart TVs and media players, including Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, and

You can get a free AirTV Mini or antenna if you prepay for 2 months of Sling

If you don't want a discounted month or the Verizon deal, new members can opt for a free device instead.

You can get a free AirTV Mini when you prepay for two months of Sling. The AirTV Mini streaming device typically costs $80 and you can use it to watch Sling and other apps on your TV. The AirTV Mini can be paired with an AirTV 2 and an antenna to add local programming.

Subscribers who just want a simple solution to get local channels can instead get a free antenna ($45 retail value) when they prepay for two months. Though an antenna by itself won't integrate with your Sling app, it will let you watch local channels that aren't included with Sling, like ABC and CBS, through your TV.

Sling offers discounted AirTV 2 and AirTV Anywhere bundles if you pay for 3 months

In addition to the antenna and AirTV Mini offer, Sling currently has two other packages that'll get you discounted devices if you prepay for three months at the regular price.

For $49, you can get an AirTV 2 ($100 retail value) and an antenna ($45 retail value). If you want to record local channels with a built-in DVR, you can opt for a $99 bundle featuring an AirTV Anywhere and an antenna ($245 total retail value).

What is the cheapest way to get Sling TV without a free trial?

If there’s no Sling TV free trial right now, don’t worry. There are always a couple of deals to give you the Sling experience on the cheap.

Register now and you can get a month’s membership for only $10, which provides a $25 dollar saving on the basic rate. That’s ample time to do a deep dive of its OD library and surf its 30+ live channels. Plus, you’ll get expanded FREE DVR Plus thrown in (retail value $5), and potentially be able to trial premium channels like Showtime and EPIX at no extra cost. You’ll need to remember to cancel before the month is up, though, if you don’t want to pay once the honeymoon period is over.

Even without an introductory offer, Sling TV remains one of the most affordable and versatile live TV platforms around. Both its core Sling Orange and Sling Blue plans are $35 a month, almost half the amount of Hulu plans and prices and the FuboTV cost. And, if you pick the combined Sling Orange + Sling Blue option, you’ll only pay $50 and save 25% of the cost of purchasing them individually.

Understandably, for that slim price you get a comparatively lean line-up. But it can be bulked up by adding the Total TV extra for $21, which provides an additional 64 channels across comedy, sports, lifestyle, entertainment, and news programming. If you combine that with the Sling Blue package, you’ll walk away with circa 105 channels for just $56. Now, that’s how you get the TV you love for less.

You get a bit of everything with Sling – live sports, kids programming, news, general entertainment, lifestyle and an on-demand library of iconic TV series and films.

A Sling Orange plan leans towards the sports fan and families. Unlike Sling Blue, it has all three ESPN channels, Motortrend, and the child-friendly Disney Channel and Freeform. But the plan offers just 32 channels, which you can only stream from one device at a time.

Alternatively, Sling Blue has around 44 channels, the following of which are exclusive to this plan: Fox News, MSNBC, HLN, and Fox and NBC in select markets (you can check if that includes you here); Discovery, E!, Bravo, National Geographic, TLC, SyFy, USA, TruTV, and FX (the later home of the critically-acclaimed Sons of Anarchy); and the NFL Network and NBCSN, so Sling Blue doesn’t mean an absence of sport.

No matter which you pick, your line-up will include A&E, AMC, BET, Cartoon Network, Comedy Central, TNT, Vice, History channel, Food Network, and Nick Jr. And, if you sign up for the $50 Sling Orange + Sling Blue plan, you’ll get ALL of the above. Better yet, you might be able to enjoy it all with a Sling TV free trial.

That’s a thrilling live TV schedule, plus there's a bountiful amount of content from the networks on-demand libraries. You can stream hundreds of movies: 80s classics The Karate Kid and The Goonies, 90s favorites Sister Act and Boyz in the Hood, action-thrillers like the Lethal Weapon trilogy, and gross-out comedies like Dumb and Dumber.

There’s no shortage of brilliant TV series either, with The Walking Dead, Black-ish, Better Call Saul, Broad City and Parks and Recreation just a few clicks away. And, if you want more, you can choose from over 30 premium channels for an extra fee, including Showtime ($10 a month) and Starz ($9 a month).
