Former President Donald Trump has been married three times and has a total of five children.
Three of his children are from his first marriage to Ivana Zelnickova, one is from his second marriage to Marla Maples, and one is from his third marriage to Melania Trump.
The children are all attending the Republican National Convention, which is taking place at the same time that Donald Trump is becoming the official nominee of his party for president.

In 1977, Donald Trump wed Ivana, a native of the Czechoslovak Republic. The new Mrs. Trump, a former model, worked alongside her husband in their real estate development company and eventually held executive roles at the Plaza Hotel and Trump's Castle Hotel and Casino. Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric were the couple's three children; they rose to prominence in New York society.
However, their union was doomed to fail. It was the "darkest days of his life," according to Trump, when the couple decided to divorce in 1992 amid rumors that he had an affair with Marla Maples. He was discussing the financial and emotional costs of divorcing the woman he had shared a life with for 15 years.
In the end, Donald Trump gave Ivana Trump a divorce settlement of $25 million. They supposedly get along well these days.

Trump's shortest marriage is the one that people most frequently forget, according to Showbiz Cheatsheet. While he was still married to Ivana Trump, Trump met actress Marla Maples and started a shady relationship with her that quickly spiraled out of control. Maples couldn't help but approach Trump's wife and tell her, "I love Donald," when he tried to sneak her along on a family vacation to Aspen. Do you?" Yikes.
Tiffany Trump's daughter was conceived by Maples in 1993, and the couple married a few months after Tiffany was born. But they had already split up by 1997, and their divorce was finalized in 1999.

When Donald was out on a date with another person, he ran into Melania at a Manhattan nightclub. Melania declined to give him her number when he asked, and it appears that Trump appreciated that she was a little trickier to get than the other women he pursued. Melania, who is originally from Slovenia, was unaware of Trump's celebrity status or reputation at the time.
Trump proposed to Melania in 2004 with a 12-carat engagement ring after they had been dating for some time. Their son Barron was born in 2006 after they got married in 2005.
