The Hollywood Bowl, Southern California’s iconic open-air amphitheater perched under the Hollywood Hills, just unveiled a star-studded 2026 summer season

The season is also framed by a major milestone: Gustavo Dudamel’s final Hollywood Bowl season as LA Phil Music & Artistic Director, highlighted by a dedicated “Celebrating Gustavo at the Bowl” week in August.

Dudamel’s final Bowl season gets a four-night spotlight: Beethoven’s Ninth plus a world premiere by Michael Giacchino with lyrics by Amanda Gorman, then Dudamel’s Playlist (guest artists TBA), Foo Fighters with the LA Phil and YOLA, and A Musical Legacy (guests TBA).

Venue upgrades and “firsts”

The press materials also point to several on-site changes and debuts for 2026: opening of the Terri and Jerry Kohl Artists Pavilion, a new L-Acoustics sound system (including a more immersive surround setup), a reimagined Hollywood Bowl Museum exhibition, and the first season of artists performing on the newly named John Williams Stage.
