The 2021–22 UEFA Champions League will be the 67th season of Europe's premier club football tournament organised by UEFA, and the 30th season since it was renamed from the European Champion Clubs' Cup to the UEFA Champions League.
The final will be played at the Krestovsky Stadium in Saint Petersburg, Russia. It was originally scheduled to be played at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany. However, due to the postponement and relocation of the 2020 final, the final hosts were shifted back a year, with Saint Petersburg instead hosting the 2022 final. The winners of the 2021–22 UEFA Champions League will automatically qualify for the 2022–23 UEFA Champions League group stage, and also earn the right to play against the winners of the 2021–22 UEFA Europa League in the 2022 UEFA Super Cup.
Champions League 2021/22: Date and Time
The 67th season of Europe's elite club competition, the 30th since it was renamed the UEFA Champions League, runs from 22 June 2021 to 28 May 2022.
The final will take place at the Saint Petersburg Stadium. The distinct venue on Krestovsky Island was designed by Japanese architect Kisho Kurokawa, whose vision was for a spaceship that had landed on the shores of the Gulf of Finland. It has been home to Zenit since 2017.

Which teams qualified and who will play in Europa & Conference League?

The top four teams in England, Spain, Italy and Germany automatically reach the Champions League group stage.
That is because those four nations are the highest ranked in UEFA’s club coefficient.
This year Man City, Man Utd, Liverpool and Chelsea have progressed from the Premier League.
Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig, Borussia Dortmund and Wolfsburg are the teams to represent the Bundesliga.
In Serie A, it is Inter, Milan, Atalanta and Juventus who make the Champions League.
The four teams to qualify for Europe’s top club competition from Spain’s league positions are Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Sevilla. But this year La Liga will have a fifth representative.
As Villarreal won the Europa League, they will become the fifth team from Spain’s top flight to play in the 2021/22 group stage. That is despite finishing the domestic season in seventh position.
France and Portugal get two automatic qualifiers each for the group stage. Lille, PSG, Porto and Sporting CP take those spots.
Five more teams from the rest of Europe have achieved automatic entry after winning their respective leagues.
Zenit, Club Brugge, Dynamo Kiev, Ajax and Besiktas are those sides.
In total, 26 of the 32 qualifiers are already locked in for the Champions League.
Who has qualified for 2021/22 Europa League?
There is more uncertainty when it comes to qualifiers for the UEFA Europa League.
In the Champions League we already know all but six participants. But just 12 of the 32 teams who will play in the Europa League group stages are confirmed.
FA Cup winners Leicester City, who narrowly missed out on a Champions League spot for the second straight campaign, and sixth-placed Premier League team West Ham are the English representatives.
Final Serie A placings mean Napoli and Lazio will fly the flag for Italy, with Real Sociedad and Real Betis doing the same for Spain.
Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayer Leverkusen make up a strong Bundesliga contingent.
Lyon and Marseille enter the competition from France, with domestic cup winners in Portugal and Russia – Braga and Lokomotiv Moscow – also confirmed entrants.
Teams who drop out of the Champions League qualification process will fall into the Europa League system.
The 12 confirmed group teams will be joined by the six clubs who lose in the Champions League play-off round.
Four more from the UCL process will also enter the group stages, teams from the league path who lost in the third qualifying round.
The final 10 spots are filled by those who progress through Europa League qualifying.
Some of those teams are not yet known as it depends who wins and loses in the early rounds of the Champions League process.
But we know AZ, Fenerbahce and Antwerp are among the sides who will enter the play-off round. That comes after finishing third in their domestic leagues, meaning they need just one win to reach the group phase.

The Europa Conference League is a new addition to the UEFA calendar this season.
No teams automatically reach the group stage in this competition. But that status will be granted to the 10 teams who lose in the Europa League play-off round.
The two most high-profile teams we know will be taking part in the Conference League qualifying process are Tottenham and Roma. The Italians are now managed by former Spurs boss Jose Mourinho.
Union Berlin, Rennes and Portuguese team Pacos are the other three teams who will be involved in the play-off round with Spurs and Roma.
Three teams who lose in the third round of Europa League qualifying will also take part.
There are other teams who have reached the Conference League but must now win multiple qualifying games. Should they do that, they will reach the group section of Europe’s third competition.
Anderlecht, Rubin Kazan, Copenhagen and BATE Borisov all fit into that category.
Feyenoord, Hibs, Aberdeen, AEK Athens and Partizan Belgrade are also hoping to feature in the group stage of the first Conference League.
With the final Champions League spots still up for grabs and plenty to play for in the Europa League and Conference League, attention will quickly turn back to club football once Euro 2020 is over.
But 26 of the biggest teams on the continent are safe in the knowledge they will be in the UCL.

Let's start with the Round of 16: Only two matches from each of the first and second legs will be available to watch on cable (CBS Sports Network). Those games that appear on CBSSN can also be streamed on fuboTV, which is offering a seven-day free trial. For the second leg, Paramount+ (a rebrand of CBS All Access) will stream the Champions League matches.
All second leg matches are also available on Spanish language networks, TUDN and Galavision, which can also be streamed on fuboTV.
The Champions League quarterfinals can only be streamed on Paramount+. The semifinal matches will air on CBSSN and stream on Paramount+ and fuboTV.
The Champions League final will air on CBS and stream on Paramount+; fuboTV is also a streaming option for each of the semifinal and final matches.
