Barcelona has had a tumultuous 2021/22 season. However, with the return of Xavi on the coaching bench, the Camp Nou team can still finish the new season in second place.
When does Barcelona's 2022-23 season start? Barcelona will play their first competitive match of the 2022-23 on August 13 as they host Rayo Vallecano in La Liga.
La Liga champions Real Madrid will host last season's runners-up at the Santiago Bernabeu in the first Clasico clash of the season on October 19 .
The two Clasico teams will go head-to-head again at Camp Nou on March 19, 2023 .
Barcelona's 2022-23 La Liga Full Fixtures In the 2022/23 season, the Catalan team continues to aim to compete for the championship in the race with Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid. Coach Xavi's teachers and students will have their first match on August 14 (local time), facing Rayo Vallecano.
In the 9th round (October 16, local time), Barca will have a trip to Real Madrid's field in the first Super Classic match of the season. In the last time the two teams met at the Bernabeu, the Blaugrana defeated the great rival with a 4-0 victory.
In the opposite direction, Barca will welcome the opponent at Camp Nou on March 19, 2023 (local time). Last season, Barca had to receive a 1-2 defeat when welcoming Real Madrid at home.
Besides the El Clasico first leg, Barca will experience a relatively tense schedule at the end of October. The Camp Nou team will have to face Villarreal, Ateltico Madrid and Valencia in turn.
