What's New on Amazon Prime Video in March 2021
A sequel to one of the most beloved movies of the 1980s, an ambitious comic book adaptation and more await you in Amazon Prime Video's latest streaming video offerings.
The television adaptation of horror comic The Walking Dead is expected to come to a close in 2022 at the end of its 11th season—an impressive stretch that has nothing on the comic’s 17-year, 193-issue run. But throughout much of that time, franchise creator Robert Kirkman was plugging away at another lengthy graphic saga, Invincible, about a young superhero discovering his destiny. It ended in 2018 after 15 years and 144 issues—and it too is now coming to TV, via an animated series on Prime Video debuting in March.
Like The Walking Dead, Invincible (March 26) is very much an adult property, despite its young protagonist—the blood-soaked trailer above makes that much clear. Mark Grayson grows up the son of Earth’s most powerful hero, Omni-Man, awaiting the day when he develops his own powers—but no sooner does it finally happen than he discovers the existence of an intergalactic conspiracy bigger than the one in Watchmen, complex enough to extend across however many seasons of the show Amazon chooses to make.
Also arriving in March is another big ticket item for Amazon. The long-awaited Coming to America sequel, Coming 2 America, will premiere on March 5. Eddie Murphy returns as Prince Akeem Joffer who heads back to Queens in search of the son who will serve as prince of Zamunda.
There aren’t many Amazon Originals to speak of beyond those two but not much more are needed. Some intriguing library titles this month include E.T., Attack the Block, and the Back to the Future trilogy all arriving on March 1.

Fox) and zany Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) as they explore the space/time continuum with an unpredictable time machine.
*Attack The Block: Before John Boyega traveled to a galaxy far away, he starred in this cult classic sci-fi action film about a group of British street toughs who have to contend with the arrival of a vicious alien predator in their housing complex.
