The 2023 SBS Drama Awards were held on December 29 to recognize the network's dramas of the previous year.
Two winners of this year's Daesang (Grand Prize) were Kim Tae Ri for her role in "Revenant" and Lee Je Hoon for his role in "Taxi Driver 2."
Controversy Starts Over Best Couple Award

| SBS has addressed the controversy surrounding the "Best Couple Award" at the 2023 SBS Drama Awards. |
SBS held an online poll for their chemistry in the drama "My Demon," and Song Kang and Kim Yoo Jung won by a wide margin. However, the network announced on December 27 that the "Best Couple Award" would not be decided solely by online votes, but also by the "votes of each drama's production team, internal votes of SBS and Studio S employees, viewership ratings, online buzz, and other factors."
Because Song Kang is unable to attend the awards presentation, netizens speculated that SBS modified the criterion after the announcement. "The criteria for the 'Best Couple Award' has been the same for every year, but we detailed them this year because we received a lot of inquiries about the award criteria," SBS said in response to the rumors. We would appreciate it if you could watch to view the winners of the awards."
Ahn Hyo Seop and Lee Sung Kyung from "Dr. Romantic 3" and Ryeoun and Shin Ye Eun from "The Secret Romantic Guesthouse" are the other nominees for the "Best Couple Award."
