Arsenal finished outside of the Premier League’s top four once again in 2019-20 and will be determined to force their way into contention for Champions League qualification during Mikel Arteta’s first full season at the helm.
The Spaniard, who returned to familiar surroundings following the dismissal of Unai Emery, has offered cause for optimism through the early part of his reign in north London – with FA Cup success along the way.
Building on those foundations will not be easy, with no quick fixes to be found, but confidence is returning at Emirates Stadium and the Gunners will hope that a few shrewd additions allow them to compete with the English and European elite once more.
Arsenal will open the 2020-21 campaign with a London derby date against newly-promoted Fulham, with that game due to take place on September 12.
A testing trip to Anfield to take on Liverpool will be made in the opening month, while October delivers two visits to Manchester to face City and United.
The first north London derby of the season is penciled in for early December, while Boxing Day will see Chelsea make the short trip to Emirates Stadium.
Arteta's side is due to wrap up their efforts in 2020-21 with a home date against Brighton - by which point they will hope to be firmly established in a European spot.

Arsenal's Premier League Fixtures and TV Live Stream in February
Arsenal has confirmed when they will be in Premier League action in the month of February.
Arsenal have had a mixed season in the league so far and were near the relegation zone at Christmas time after a two-month winless run.
But a resurgence over the festive period means that they are now up to 10th in the table and just five points off the European places.
Mikel Arteta will be hoping his side can continue their good January form into next month, and now he has been told exactly when his side are set to be in Premier League action.
Arsenal begin February with a trip to Wolves on Tuesday the 2nd which will be televised on BT Sport with a 18:00 GMT kick off. That game had been originally scheduled to start at 19:45.
They're on the road against just four days later when they travel to Villa Park on Saturday the 6th. The match against high flying Villa will be the early kick-off at 12:30pm on Saturday and again is set to be televised on BT Sport in the UK.
Arsenal then have over a week's rest before welcoming Leeds to the Emirates in a 16:30 kick off on Sunday, February 14th. The Valentine's Day clash will be available for British viewers on Sky Sports.
Finally, Arsenal finish off the shortest month of the year with a tricky home game against Manchester City on the 21st. That's another Super Sunday fixture that's set to kick off at 16:30.
All games including Arsenal's to be shown on TV until at least the end of February
The Premier League has confirmed all matches from January 30 through to the last weekend of February will be available for fans to watch live in the UK on Sky Sports and BT Sports.
