The mall currently has room for over 1,000 retail stores, 1200 luxury service suites, 65 dining options, and other attractions like Asia's largest indoor theme park, Cosmo's World, and Malaysia's first-ever IMAX 2D & 3D theater. 4. South China Mall in China - 7.1 million square feet

The South China Mall is in Dongguan, China, and has a GLA of 659,612 square meters. It is second only to Dubai Mall in terms of GLA as the latter has a sizable non-shopping area that includes an amusement park, zoo, and lodging complex. This shopping center is the largest in the world in terms of GLA. This mall opened in 2005, but after being mostly deserted for ten years, earning the moniker "dead shopping center," it has been closed.
According to an article, the majority of its retail spaces were filled in January 2018, and this mall was highlighted by an amusement park and IMAX-style film. In the past, this shopping center in the southern seaside Chinese city of Dongguan's Wanjiang District was farmland. It’s not as much of a sprawling structure like the rest of those on the list because this one is a six-storey building surrounded by new apartment buildings and offices, but it has more than 230 escalators to accommodate the bustle of shoppers moving from floor to floor!

8. CentralPlaza WestGate - 5.9 million square feet

Thailand's biggest mall is the CentralPlaza WestGate, located in Thailand’s Nonthaburi Province, in a suburb of its capital city Bangkok. It has over 5.9 million square feet of gross floor area composed of multiple floors.
It is deemed South East Asia’s “Super Regional Mall” and was built as part of an effort to convert Thailand into a thriving regional shopping hub. This mall has over 500 Thai and international brands, and over 200 restaurants.

This is the largest shopping mall and office complex in Bangkok owned by the Central Group. Spread over 800,000-square-metre, the mall is the largest shopping center in South-East Asia and is larger than Hong Kong’s Ocean Terminal.
Originally called the World Trade Centre, the eight-storey mall opened in 1990.
