1.Bugatti La Voiture Noire - $18.9 million

The Bugatti La Voiture Noire is a luxury prototype supercar built by Bugatti Automobiles. It was unveiled at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, in tribute to the history of the brand, and to the 110th anniversary of its founding in 1909 by Ettore Bugatti. Based on the Chiron, the design of the car harkens back to the Type 57 SC Atlantic and is a celebration of the company’s distinctive design history. The La Voiture Noire is powered by the same 8.0-litre quad turbocharged W16 engine from the Chiron having the same power output figures but the 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox and the all-wheel-drive system are heavily revised in order to allow for a more relaxed driving experience. Softer dampers and a revised chassis contribute to the factor. The car has six exhaust pipes. The car was sold for a price of $18.9 million, making it the most expensive car built to date.
2.Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta: $17,600,000
Photo: YouTube |
The Zonda was the first car out of the Pagani Automobili auto house. Years ago, production should have ceased, favoring the Huayra; instead, Pagani has come out with many different special editions of the Zonda.
This, the Zonda HP Barchetta, was thus named – barchetta – because, to Horatio Pagani, that’s what it resembled: in Italian, a ‘little boat’. Its frame is entirely formed of carbon fibre for an ultralight body and zippy, speedy feel; it’s blue-tinted, it has a minimized windshield, and it stands only some 21 inches tall (0.5 metres) at its tallest.
Unfortunately, the Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta is also the most expensive car that you can’t buy. Only three vehicles were ever made of this unique, specific version of the Zonda. When last sold, one of these vehicles went for $17.6M.
Its acceleration is 0-60mph or 0-100kph in 3.4 seconds. The Zonda HP Barchetta can reach a top speed of 355kph or 220 mph.
3.Rolls-Royce Sweptail - $12.8 million
Photo: victor-mochere |
The Rolls-Royce Sweptail is a one-off large luxury car made in the United Kingdom by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.
At the time of its May 2017 debut at the yearly Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este event it was the most expensive new automobile in the world, costing around $12.8 million, surpassing the Bugatti Chiron, which costs around $2.8 million. In 2019 the Sweptail was in turn overtaken as the world’s most expensive car by La Voiture Noire, also made by Bugatti. The Rolls-Royce Sweptail is hand-built, and inspired by coachbuilding of the 1920s and 1930s.
The Sweptail was commissioned bespoke in 2013 as a one-off automobile, at the request of a super-yacht and aircraft specialist who had a unique idea in mind.

4.Bugatti Centodieci: $9,000,000
Photo: CNN |
Bugatti’s 2021 Centodieci will be even more exclusive: Only ten of these luxurious hypercars will be sold. (Each has found a happy buyer already, despite the high price.)
Bugatti, already a brand known for unique bodywork and luxurious comfort features, has sought to give the Centodieci everything possible to make it memorable – and completely decadent. With a 1577-hp quad-turbo W-16, it may not be the fastest Bugatti currently on the road; but it is the quickest-accelerating.
With this car, Bugatti pays homage to the EB110 (or the ‘centodieci’), a supercar produced early in the ‘90s. That car didn’t quite have the timing to perform as it was hoped.
This car will make up for that, bringing performance and luxury to spare. Bugatti has posted a claimed 0-62mph (or just over 0-100kph) acceleration of 2.4 seconds. The Centodieci will have a top speed of 236 mph, or 379 kph – distinctly less than the Chiron, but this hypercar makes up for it with its distinct modern aesthetic.
5.Mercedes Benz Maybach Exelero - $8 million
Photo: victor-mochere |
The Maybach Exelero is a one-off high-performance sports car made by German manufacturer Maybach-Motorenbau GmbH, a subsidiary of DaimlerChrysler. It was unveiled at the Tempodrom in Berlin in 2005. The Exelero was commissioned by Fulda, a German subsidiary of Goodyear, to test their new Carat Exelero tire range. In collaboration with Maybach, the initial design of the Exelero was to be influenced by the Maybach SW 38 and built on the platform of the Maybach 57.
Another important design stipulation from Fulda was that the car should be able to reach speeds in excess of 350 km/h (217 mph) so that the physical limits of the Exelero tires could be tested. The Exelero is powered by a twin turbo V12 engine made by Maybach and mounted at 60º.

6.Bugatti Divo: $6,000,000

Bugatti’s reputation for luxurious, expensive supercars continues with the next two cars in our ranking – starting with the 2021 Divo. Bugatti’s Chiron was such a success that the Divo, a car that closely follows it, has several similar features. However, the Divo is more exotic-looking – and much more exclusive.
Only 40 Divos will be produced and sold. Each has already been spoken for. Its updates include a better suspension, a much lighter frame for increased speed, and a new dorsal fin. Inside, the Divo houses an 8.0L W-16 engine with four turbochargers. As a result, the Divo has 1500 horsepower, an acceleration of just over 0-100kph (0-62mph) in 2.4 seconds.
Its top speed? 380km/h (or 236mph).
To save as much weight as possible, Bugatti kept the inside comfort materials and infotainment to a minimum. However, the steering wheel does feature soft faux suede – and the blue and black aesthetic outside is featured inside as well.
7.Pagani Huayra Imola: $5.4 Million
Photo: gtspirit |
Limited to just 5 cars only, this is one of the most expensive Pagani model in the world. The first car was delivered to Oleg Egorov, founder of TopCar who has been a long time Pagani customer. The Imola is the most powerful version of the Huayra, the V12 Biturbo now puts out 827hp and 1100nm of torque.
8.Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita - $4.8 million

The Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita is a limited edition of the Koenigsegg CCXR featuring a diamond weave carbon fibre finish. Trevita is an abbreviation in Swedish and translates into “three whites”. It features the Koenigsegg Shimmering Diamond Weave bodywork, twin-deck carbon fibre rear wing, inconel exhaust system, carbon ceramic brakes with ABS, airbags, F1 paddle-shift gearbox, chrono instrument cluster, infotainment system, tire monitoring system and a hydraulic lifting system.
9.Lamborghini Veneno Roadster - $4.5 million

Lamborghini Veneno Roadster was unveiled on the Italian naval aircraft carrier Cavour docked in Abu Dhabi’s Mina Zayed port in 2014, followed by the 2014 Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show. Performance of the roadster remains identical to that of the coupé with the roadster being 50 kg (110.2 lb) heavier than the coupé counterpart due to chassis reinforcing components. Only nine units of the roadster were produced, all of which were already sold.
10.Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+: $3,9 million
The current world record holder for the fastest car, the prototype had 1800hp, stripped out interior and a mission to go fast, just fast. Following the footsteps of the Veyron Super Sport, the new Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ is a limited edition based on the top speed prototype model. Only 30 cars be made, all sold out within minutes.
Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+: $3,9 million |
It’s human nature to try to improve, to test the limits of whatever is in front of you. But for the past 15 or so years, nobody has done that quite like Bugatti. They changed the world when the Veyron was found to be capable of 253 mph, and now they are changing the world again because the Chiron Super Sport is capable of speeds above 300 miles per hour. For the chance to travel at that velocity alone, the price can easily be justified.
11.McLaren P1 LM - $3.6 million
Photo: victor-mochere |
The McLaren P1 LM is a limited-production variant of the P1 GTR. In order to convert the cars into the P1 LM specification, Lanzante Motorsport made changes to the drivetrain hardware (to increase power output), employed a modified rear wing and larger front splitter along with dive planes (to improve downforce), removed the air-jack system and installed Inconel catalytic converter pipes and exhaust headers, lightweight fabricated charge coolers, Lexan windows, lighter seats (similar to those used in the F1 GTR) and a titanium exhaust system, bolts and fixings (to save weight). The top speed is limited to 345 km/h (214 mph).
Five P1 LMs were sold and the sixth, the prototype P1 LM codenamed ‘XP1 LM,’ was retained and is now being used for development and testing of future models.
12.Lykan Hypersport - $3.4 million

The production of the car was limited to a planned total of just seven units. Lykan HyperSport was unveiled to the public at the Qatar Motor Show in February 2013. At $3.4 million, the Lykan HyperSport was the third most expensive production car at time of its production. The HyperSport is the first car to have headlights with embedded jewels; they contain titanium LED blades with 420 diamonds (15cts).
The car also uses a holographic display system on the centre console with interactive motion features, as well as gold stitching on the seats.

The Pininfarina Sergio is a concept car produced by the Italian design house Pininfarina. It was presented at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show as a tribute to the former chairman of the company and the infamous automotive designer, Sergio Pininfarina, who died on 3 July 2012. The car is a coach built barchetta which is based on the mechanical underpinnings of the Ferrari 458 Spider. Taking cues from the 1965 Ferrari Dino prototype which was the first solo project of Sergio Pininfarina from Ferrari as well as the Mythos and the Modulo concept cars, the design of the car is a simple open top car displaying design purity through the use of simple and sensual elements. The reduction in weight and the incorporation of unique aerodynamic design elements enable the car to accelerate from 0-62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.4 seconds.
