Gibraltar Point Lighthouse

The light from Gibraltar Point, a 62-foot white hexagonal tower with an 8-foot-eight-inch-diameter iron lantern housing 11 mammoth flat-wick lamps and two 18-inch and nine 15-inch reflectors, can be seen for 18 miles on clear nights.

The first keeper of Gibraltar Point Lighthouse, John Paul Radelmüller, was murdered by inebriated soldiers from Fort York in 1815 while he was asleep. The soldiers had come to "collect" bootlegged beer. Apparently, John was murdered because of beer, and the plan failed. Even today, his ghost can be seen prowling the area around the lighthouse, just waiting for his chance to strike.

Craigdarroch Castle is a stunning historic Victorian-era mansion that can be found just off Fort Street at 1050 Joan Crescent in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, a short drive or leisurely walk from the city's harbor. The Craigdarroch Castle Historical Museum Society now owns it, and its 150,000 annual visitors provide almost all of its funding.

This Victorian-era mansion was constructed in the 1890s for coal miner Robert Dunsmuir and his family, and it has since emerged as one of Canada's most eerie locations. Numerous sightings of a ghostly woman in white and reports of a piano that plays by itself have been made. Many believe that Dunsmuir's untimely passing just one year before the castle's completion is the cause of its propensity for paranormal activity.
