What Are The Top Best Airlines In North America Today?
1.Delta Air Lines

The Atlanta-based company has somewhat bounced back recently, reporting a quarterly profit in July — its first since the start of the pandemic — due partially to federal coronavirus aid. Delta also reported that demand for domestic leisure travel is back to pre-Covid levels, with business travel still recovering.
In August, Delta CEO Ed Bastian told CNBC that Delta’s flights were more than 90% full during a recent weekend, as people learn “how to manage and live” with the pandemic. The carrier has publicly focused on getting as many of its employees vaccinated against Covid as possible, announcing last week that 82% of its employees are now fully vaccinated.
Delta and JetBlue both jumped ahead of Air Canada, ending a streak of three straight North American titles for the Canadian carrier. But even the region’s top-ranked airline wasn’t immune to the pandemic’s financial impact: Delta lost a record $12.4 billion loss last year, part of a $35 billion loss for U.S. domestic airlines in 2020. |
2.JetBlue Airways

JetBlue caters to passengers with new planes, plentiful routes, inflight connectivity and some of the most legroom in economy for any American-based airline. The airline flies to nearly 100 cities across the U.S., Caribbean and Latin America, with live TV and inflight wifi available on all flights.
JetBlue took the top spot for economy class due to its ample leg room, free snacks and drinks, free Wifi gate to gate, and excellent in-flight entertainment, according to the publication. The airline’s in-flight entertainment is top-notch because “every seat on every JetBlue flight enjoys free high-speed Wi-Fi from gate to gate, as well as seat-back touchscreens with free live TV, SiriusXM Radio, Showtime, Spotify and an extensive library of movies,” wrote USA Today.
The airline, Logan International Airport‘s largest carrier, just ranked No. 1 in the categories of best economy class and best in-flight entertainment in USA Today’s list of best airlines and airports in 2021. JetBlue also ranked No. 2 in the category of best airline, second only to Delta Air Lines. The lists are part of the publication’s 2021 10Best Reader’s Choice Awards.

In fact, the entire industry improved, landing 83.6% of flights on time, compared with 79.4% in 2019. Again, fewer passengers and fewer flights made it easier for airlines to deliver on-time flights.

The win, says Annick Guérard, President and Chief Executive Officer at Transat, is even more significant this year, considering the hardships the travel industry has been through due to the pandemic.
“Knowing that the Air Transat experience still holds a place in the hearts of travellers fills me with pride and ambition for the future,” says Guérard. “But above all, this award solidifies the professionalism and dedication of our employees who make our star shine every day and whom I thank warmly.”
