*Winners: The Premier League isn't all about who is going to lift the title. It has to be said that there are few teams who are capable of becoming champions. Liverpool and Manchester City had been clear of the rest of the teams for the past two seasons. Last season saw Liverpool slip from that level with poor home form costing them dearly. Manchester United finished second but 11 draws and a poor start to the season hindered their title hopes. Chelsea are expected to make a strong challenge this season, it'll be interesting to see what they do in the transfer market.

*Mant bets: There are so many more bets that you can place on the Premier League. You can place wagers on which teams will finish in the top four. That again looks like being a close battle (bar the top two) and there are some good odds to be had on teams like Leicester and Tottenham finishing in the top four.

Premier League: Betting Tips On Top Scorer

Always interesting to try your luck on, the top goalscorer market has become widely popular among fans of sports betting, especially on the Premier League. With so many quality players present in the EPL, this can be an exciting market for your predictions - and can offer some noteworthy potential gains.

The star-studded Premier League has attracted some prolific scorers in recent years. Last season, Harry Kane won the Golden Boot with 23 goals in the English Premier League, one ahead of Mo Salah and four clear of Bruno Fernandes. Who will Kane be playing for in the 2021/22 season though? There are plenty of contenders to be the top goalscorer and it's a fascinating bet to place

How to Find a Winning Bet on Premier League 2021-22 Season

The English Premier League is the richest football League in the world, watched by a global audience in 643 million homes. The EPL has a depth of competition unmatched by any other League, with smaller sides often beating bigger teams and as many as six clubs capable of winning the title.

The playing style of the Premier League is fast, ferocious and has a never say die attitude. The technical quality of the players has increased significantly in the past few years, though tactically it is probably behind Spain and Italy.

As the EPL is so competitive, it is worth analysing the form of each team within a particular betting market closely and looking beyond the Win-Draw market to find strong value.

With margins so fine, it is also worth taking a look at our Pro Betting Guide for each game. It gives a detailed analysis of each team across their past ten fixtures – looking at a range of essential defensive and offensive statistics.

Premier League Statistical Analysis & Figures

There are plenty of goals scored in the English Premier League. Last season saw an average of 2.69 goals per game, a slight fall from 2.72 in the previous season. It's a lower average than seen last season in other major leagues such as Serie A (3.06), German Bundesliga (3.03), Ligue 1 (2.76) and Dutch Eredvisie (3.01) but higher than La Liga (2.51) and Portugal's NOS (2.42) and much higher than in the English Championship (2.31). Teams down the bottom of the table last season didn't score too many goals so that bought the average down.

The under/over goals market is one that is always good to have a bet on. Last season 50% of English Premier League matches saw over 2.5 goals scored in them. Both Leicester City and West Ham United had over 2.5 goals in 24 of their 38 league games. 27% of matches had over 3.5 goals scored in them with 17 out of 38 Manchester United games seeing that stat come up. The top scorers in the English Premier League last season were the champions Manchester City with 83 goals, 19 less than they scored the season before when finishing second.

The Both teams to score market is also a very popular bet. 49% of English Premier League games played last season saw both teams get on the scoresheet. Manchester United topped the charts in this category with 24 of their matches seeing both teams score. They were just ahead of West Ham and Leicester on 22. Only 17 Manchester City games had both teams get on the scoresheet as their defence ensured that stat didn't happen so often. Of teams playing in the 2021/22 season, Burnley are the ones to avoid, last season only 14 of their matches saw both teams score a goal.

We've already mentioned the both teams to score stat. What was the most common score in the 2020/21 Premier League? It was 1-1 and that came up in 11% of games played. The most common half-time score was 0-0 and that came up in 28% of matches. 86% of matches had under 2.5 goals scored in the first half.

The most popular time for goals to be scored was from the 76th minute to the final whistle with goals scored in 21.2% of matches. The lowest number of goals were scored in the first 15 minutes with only 14.2% of goals coming in that period. 47.2% of goals came in the first half with 52.8% in the second half. Home teams scored an average of 1.35 goals per game, it was 1.34 for away teams.

Home wins occurred in 38% of English Premier League games last season, that was 7% down compared to the previous season. 40% ended in a win for the away side (up 9%) with only 22% being drawn, down 2% on the 2020/21 season.

021-2022 Premier League Sleeper Picks To Win

Tottenham (+4000)

Tottenham Hotspur might have some long odds attached to themselves, but if we are going to talk about sleeper teams, we cannot discount them. At +4000, I believe Tottenham is nothing more than pure value.

I fully expected Manchester City or Liverpool to win the Premier League, but Tottenham seems like they could fight their way into a Cinderella storyline. With two finishes among the top-3 over the past six seasons and a decent overall roster, they are less of a longshot than Vegas projects, in my opinion. Regardless, they are still a longshot and should be treated as such.

Arsenal (+5000)

How can a team captained by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang truly be counted out? Arsenal has disappointed in recent seasons, and that is fully reflected in their longshot odds to win the Premier League, but we are talking about sleepers here. Arsenal might just be a sleeping giant.

Coaching has been a huge sticking point for Arsenal, which has held them back greatly from realizing their full potential as a football club. Like their rival Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal is beyond a longshot but has just as much equity as a Cinderella story.

Premier League Prediction To Win 2021-22 Season

Manchester City (-150)

Widely considered the best football club in the world, Manchester City is The Game Day’s prediction to win the Premier League and maintain the strongest odds of winning, per BetMGM.

Manchester City are the reigning champions of the Premier League and are likely to be heavy spenders this summer, some having estimates in the 300 million (USD) range for their roster upkeep.

If this team improves any more, they could have a stranglehold on this league.

2021-2022 Premier League Sleeper Picks To Finish Top-4

Everton (+1100)

Everton has not had a top-3 finish in the Premier League since 1987, but with their striker Calvert Lewin breaking out in a big way last season, the ceiling on this club is immense. (+1100) is more than fair odds on this team, and I would recommend a small value bet on them. The top-4 is firm, but with injuries consistently playing a key role in the football world every year, Everton could slide themselves into the top-4 conversation.

West Ham (+1400)

After a surprisingly solid season, West Ham will look to continue their uptrend in the Premier League. With Jesse Lingard still in tow, West Ham is a sneaky pick to find a top-4 spot should one of the consensus teams fall off. I would consider them a high-variance club in the present.

West Ham ended the 2020-21 season with a goal differential of +15, which is more than respectable. If they maintain this level of play, they could be a force.

Premier League Predictions To Finish Top-4 In 2021-22 Season

Manchester City (-2000)

Quite easily the best team in the Premier League, Manchester City should have no problem taking possession of a top-4 spot. (-2000) is a hefty price to lay down on a wager, so I advise staying away, but this is as close to a lock as you’ll see in the Premier League.

Liverpool (-450)

The third-place finisher in the Premier League last season, Liverpool stands as good of a chance as any team in the league of challenging Manchester City. If they can maintain health, they should have a breezy road to the top-4.

Chelsea (-450)

One of the top-ranked teams in the world, Chelsea should also have a successful road on the way to another UCL qualification. Chelsea is currently ranked as the third-best team in the world, according to FiveThirtyEight.

Manchester United (-350)

Manchester United, ranked as the eighth-best team in the world and fourth-best in the Premier League by FiveThirtyEight, are still a prominent force in the league and should round out the top-4 if all goes according to consensus.
