Hertha needs experience, Hertha retains experience: According to kicker information, Peter Pekarik (34) will soon sign a new one-year contract with the capital club.

The Slovak national player, who was eliminated with his team in the preliminary round group E in third behind Sweden and Spain with three points at the European Championships, is currently still on vacation – and officially without a contract since July 1st. That will change soon: Hertha and the right-back have agreed to continue the collaboration that has been going on since 2012.

Pekarik, who has extensive experience of 211 Bundesliga appearances, will receive a new one-year contract – and will be one of three right-backs with a completely different profile in the new season, alongside Deyovaisio Zeefuik and Lukas Klünter.
