What is National Day
There is a set date called "National Day" when people celebrate being a nation or non-sovereign country. This nationhood can be shown by the date of independence, the date of becoming a republic, or a holy day or a ruler's important event (birthday, accession, removal, etc.).
"National Day" is not always used, but the day does serve as one. A lot of the time, National Day is a national holiday.
