One World Trade Center (formerly known as the Freedom Tower) has become a resurgent symbol of New York City after the 9/11/2001 events. Currently, One World Trade Center has surpassed the Empire State to become the tallest building in America, and also the safest office building in this country.
Here is some information about this supertall skyscraper.
Originally Building (1971-2001)
Minoru Yamasaki, a Japanese-American architect, built the two old 110-story Twin Towers in 1966 as part of a complex of seven buildings. These two buildings held the highest architectural position in the world in 1973, were bombed in 1993, and remained standing until the disaster of 9/11/2001.
Following the terrible terrorist attacks, the One World Trade Center building was constructed and completed to replace the twin towers that collapsed in the United States on September 11, 2001, killing approximately 3,000 people from 90 different countries. The work has contributed to alleviating the pain of America after the terrorist day.

Following the destruction of the original World Trade Center, there was considerable discussion about the future of the World Trade Center site. After terrorist attacks destroyed the Twin Towers, which were the tallest buildings in the world at the time, New York City faced eight months of cleanup and years of rebuilding. What remained of the World Trade Center was demolished, and reconstruction of the complex began in 2006.
A new One World Trade building stands proudly in Lower Manhattan more than a decade after the 9/11 attacks, and you can see it from the waters of New York Harbor on a Liberty Cruise. It reopened to the public in October of 2014.
The Name
The official name of the building is One World Trade Center, also briefly known as 1 WTC. The tower was once called Freedom Tower, for its left-centered spire in its former design resembles the rising arm of the Statue of Liberty, now that name had been abandoned, in 2009 the owner of the tower had stated precisely that the name of the tower had been changed to One World Trade Center.
Constructive Figures
The architectural height of One World Trade Center is 1776 feet or 541 meters, and 1368 feet or 417 meters without antenna atop the roof, the architectural height of the tower is temporally ranked first in New York City and the United States, as well as the whole West Hemisphere, but if judged by the roof it's the 3rd tallest in New York City, 4th tallest in the United States, after Willis Tower in Chicago, Central Park Tower and 432 Park Avenue in Midtown New York.
More than 40,000 metric tons of structural steel are used in World Trade Center One. More than 2,000 pieces of shimmering prismatic glass cover the base's surface. The price is 3.9 billion USD, which includes 104 main floors, 5 basements, an observatory, an antenna tower, and 325,279 square meters of usable floor area. The construction of the 1 World Trade Center tower is expected to employ 26,000 people over an 8.5-year period. It was expected to be completed in 2012 at the time, but this megaproject was repeatedly delayed.

The entire site was specially constructed to collect rainwater to help care for the plaza's greenery, cool the building, and replenish the memorial fountain, in addition to the many green features of the One World Trade Center tower, which was built from recycled construction debris and materials and generates power internally. |
