Sylvia's impressive abilities as a high-ranking British spy have made her a force to be reckoned with when it comes to solving mysteries. By the conclusion of season one, Sylvia made the heartfelt decision to bid farewell to her career at MI6 and embark on a fresh chapter in the picturesque region of Umbria. Her enchantment with Italy and the rekindling of her relationship with her sister Isabel (portrayed by Tara Fitzgerald of Game of Thrones and Belgravia fame) played a pivotal role in this life-altering choice. However, Sylvia's past experiences at MI6 continue to influence her, as her knack for unraveling enigmas remains as strong as ever. Throughout season two, she becomes immersed in the investigation of a prominent member of the community who was murdered. This includes Isabel, Isabel's husband Matteo, and their daughter Alice, as well as Sylvia's mother-in-law Antonella. As their relationship deepens, she becomes more involved in the investigations of the charming Carabinieri Capitano (Giovanni Cirfiera - American Crime Story; The Assassination of Gianni Versace, Queen of the South). While he may feel a mix of frustration and gratitude towards her meddling, their bond only strengthens. Nicholas Farrell, known for his roles in The Crown, The Iron Lady, and Chariots of Fire, makes a special appearance in two episodes as a mysterious guest.
