2024's boxing schedule promises to be every bit as thrilling as the one from the previous year. Well-known boxers like Tyson Fury, Dmitry Bivol, and Canelo Alvarez have already declared that they will be competing in some of the most eagerly awaited bouts of the year.

2024 Boxing Calendar: Major Fights, Highlights

Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk

Following their postponement, a new date of May 18 has been set for the highly anticipated undisputed bout between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk, which promises to be an exciting bout in the heavyweight class.

This indicates that although the fight was initially scheduled for February 17, it had to be postponed due to a cut that Fury sustained during sparring, only a few weeks prior to the fight.

Both fighters come into the bout fresh from scares in their 2023 campaigns; after Daniel Dubois drops Usyk, the referee calls the shot a low blow, giving Usyk time to recover. In Round 9, he then stopped Dubois. After his perfect record was narrowly preserved in a bout with the former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou in October, Fury found himself in a far more difficult situation. Ngannou won a number of rounds and scored a knockdown, but Fury prevailed via split decision in the end. Even though Fury's title was not in jeopardy, losing would have been even more humiliating than just about coming out on top in a fight that everyone expected him to win.

Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol

In Saudi Arabia this summer, there will be a major bout where the undisputed light heavyweight champion will be crowned. On June 1, Artur Beterbiev, the unified titleholder, will face WBA champion Dmitry Bivol for all four titles.

Canelo Alvarez vs. David Benavidez

In November 2023, the World Boxing Council approved the Canelo Alvarez vs. David Benavidez fight, scheduled for September 30, 2024.
