Directors: Cal Brunker

Starring: Rob Corddry, Brendan Fraser, Sarah Jessica Parker

Escape from Planet Earth is an animated alien adventure that features more violence, consumerism, and even references to romance than other similar films aimed at kids. There are some deaths in the movie: A father is killed when a spaceship lands on him, a man plummets to his doom from the air, and a freed alien is eaten by a much larger, scary-looking alien. A general is sadistic and likes to torture/exploit aliens. Unlike many other animated movies, this one doesn't shy away from sexuality, either: Alien couples kiss several times, a female admires her boyfriend's body, several characters comment on a "nerdy" character's beautiful wife, and online dating is even referenced. Lastly, families sensitive to consumerism should know that there are parts of the movie that seem practically like a commercial for 7-Eleven, Commonsensemedia reported.

Director: Adam Wingard

Writer: Simon Barrett

Stars: James Allen McCune, Callie Hernandez, Corbin Reid

After unearthing a DV tape containing intriguing raw footage in Burkittsville's Black Hills Forest, Lane and Talia upload the video on YouTube. Then, James stumbles upon the video, and--believing that he saw an image of his missing sister, Heather, who disappeared in 1994 in the same woods while investigating the legend of the Blair Witch--he assembles a team of friends in search of answers. Convinced that she is still alive, he heads into the gloomy forest accompanied by his friend Peter; Peter's girlfriend, Ashley; the film student, Lisa, and the pair of uploaders, only to go astray in the heart of a green maze. Now, more and more, as James and his team find themselves trapped in the epicentre of the evil activity, the blood-curdling legend of the wicked sorceress seems real. Can they escape from the wrath of the demonic Blair Witch? according to Imdb.

Director: Seth MacFarlane

Writers: Seth MacFarlane (screenplay by), Alec Sulkin (screenplay by) | 2 more credits »

Stars: Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis, Seth MacFarlane

When John Bennett (Mark Wahlberg) was a little boy, he made a wish that Ted (Seth MacFarlane), his beloved teddy bear, would come alive. Thirty years later, foul-mouthed Ted is still John's constant companion, much to the chagrin of Lori (Mila Kunis), John's girlfriend. Though Lori's displeasure is exacerbated by the pair's constant consumption of beer and weed, she's not the one who's most disappointed with John; it may take the intervention of John's boyhood toy to help him grow up at last. Ted's "romance versus bromance" plot is familiar, but the film's held aloft by the high-concept central premise and a very funny (albeit inconsistent) script, Rottentomatoes cited.

Q: Into The Storm, a six-part documentary series from director Cullen Hoback (Terms and Conditions May Apply) and executive producer Adam McKay (HBO’s Succession), charts a labyrinthine journey to uncover the forces behind QAnon.

Spanning three years in the making and traversing the globe, the series follows filmmaker Hoback as he investigates the movement fueled by conspiracy theories that has grown in scope and political significance, chronicling its evolution in real time, and revealing how “Q” uses information warfare to game the internet, hijack politics, and manipulate people’s thinking.

Hoback gains unprecedented access to key players including Jim and Ron Watkins, the father/son team behind the 8chan website which “Q” calls home, explores their rivalry with Fredrick Brennan, the original creator of the platform, and interviews “Q-tubers,” Q debunkers, political operatives, and journalists who have been closely following the movement since it began in 2017.

The series examines the connections between QAnon, President Trump, and political and ex-military operatives. It also explores QAnon’s influence on American culture and politics and probes the consequences of unfettered free speech permeating the darkest corners of the internet, HBO noted.
