West Brom vs. Everton: Kick-off time

West Brom v Everton will kick off at 6pm.

There are numerous Premier League games taking place this week including Liverpool v Chelsea, which kicks off at 8:15pm on Thursday.

West Brom v Everton Team News

Robert Snodgrass could return for West Brom to face Everton on Thursday.

The winger has been struggling with a knee injury but is available for Sam Allardyce, although Kieran Gibbs (neck) is likely to miss out.

Semi Ajayi is back after a ban which forced him to miss the 1-0 win over Brighton following his red card in last month's draw at Burnley.

Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti must check on several players before making his squad selection.

James Rodriguez, Seamus Coleman, and Tom Davies all missed Monday's win over Southampton and will be checked, while Allan played 90 minutes in his first appearance since mid-December and his recovery will be assessed.

Yerry Mina, Fabian Delph, and Jean-Philippe Gbamin all remain sidelined.

West Brom predicted XI: Johnstone, Furlong, Ajayi, Bartley, Townsend, Yokuslu, Pereira, Gallagher, Maitland-Niles, Phillips, Diagne.

Everton predicted XI: Pickford, Coleman, Holgate, Keane, Digne, Doucoure, Davies, Gomes, Rodriguez, Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin.

West Brom vs Everton: Predictions

Although West Brom returned to winning ways at the weekend, beating Brighton 1-0, they are still fighting a losing battle against relegation from the Premier League. It was their first win for seven matches, losing four during that run including one against Sheffield United, the only team below them in the table.

Sam Allardyce was brought in to keep West Brom up but time is running out for the former England manager, with the Baggies still nine points from safety with 12 games left to play. And their chances of a win this week may be slim, as West Brom hasn’t picked up back-to-back victories in the Premier League since May 2018 (although that couldn’t save them from relegation then).

They face an Everton side that has also started to pick up the wins, adding a 1-0 win over Southampton to their 2-0 victory against rivals Liverpool at Anfield. That run followed two straight defeats to Fulham and Manchester City that had seen Everton lose some ground in the race for Champions League football.

But the Toffees can truly count themselves among those in contention for a top four spot now, capitalising on the underwhelming form of teams around them. Everton is currently seventh but just two points separate them from fourth-placed West Ham United, and Carlo Ancelotti’s side have a game in hand on the Hammers (an unscheduled match against Aston Villa).

West Brom vs. Everton: Betting Tips

Everton are odds-on across the board with Unibet going top price at 22/25. The hosts can be backed at 67/20 with TonyBet. The draw is 11/4 with Paddy Power.

Everton thumped WBA 5-2 in Liverpool in September at the start of the season and that rather set the tone for both club's respective campaigns. There were two draws last season and West Brom have failed to beat Everton in their last five meetings at The Hawthorns.

Brazilian ace Richarlison is on fire for the Toffees right now and has scored in his last three games and is on five goals in his last five games. He's 9/4 with McBookie.com to score in the Black Country.

West Brom's former Rangers defender Kyle Bartley netted the winner against Brighton. He's 10/1 with bet365 for a speculative punt. Top scorer is Matheus Pereira, who went through a purple patch in January and is 19/5 anytime with Unibet.

Team sheets will be vitally important with Everton facing Chelsea and West Brown in that showdown with Newcastle.

But West Brom have the second worst home record in the league and Everton have the fourth best, so the prices are probably about right.

Everton are second in the both teams to score table and the 19/20 with Sporting Nation will attract support.

Ref Darren England has averaged just over three cards per game in the Premier League and both teams are in the top half of the table for number of cards issued. They had five players booked in a recent home clash with Manchester United where they conceded a lot of possession and the same could happen here, so the 5/6 with bet365 for over 3.5 cards looks solid.

Crucially though, Everton are unbeaten in their last eight games away from Goodison Park and can edge a low scoring game here, with Paddy Power's 10/3 for an away win and under 2.5 goals the shout.

WEST BROM VS EVERTON: MATCH STATS

In recent weeks, Richarlison has picked up the goalscoring responsibility for Everton, scoring in his past three Premier League matches. The three goals have come from his three shots on target during this run, but there is still work to be done with his movement, as Richarlison has been caught offside twice in each of his past two games. Moving into a central position, the Brazilian is both busier and more dangerous, and that is expected to be the case against West Brom.

Everton go into this game in excellent form away from home, unbeaten in their past eight Premier League games on the road, winning six and drawing two. Across the entire campaign that have already recorded eight away wins, just one short of their Premier League record of nine, set in 2008/09. However, they have kept clean sheets in four of their 12 games away from home.
