wenty-five years after Selena Quintanilla’s tragic death, a new Netflix show is reviving her legacy for a contemporary audience. Selena: The Series, which debuted on December 4, 2020, tracks the titular singer’s rise from young Texas girl to the queen of Tejano music. Christian Serratos (The Walking Dead, Twilight) plays the sequined superstar, and despite being a longtime fan, admits she had a lot to learn about the role. “I had to learn like 80 percent of the songs because it was a lot of her earlier music,” Serratos told ELLE of her preparation for the role. “I think people might watch the first season and be a little confused—I consider myself a die-hard Selena fan, but I was like, ‘I know nothing.’”

You can prepare to hear more more familiar hits in Selena: The Series Part 2, which has already been confirmed. The second installment will dive deeper into Selena’s marriage to guitarist-turned-husband Chris Pérez (Jesse Possey) and her ill-fated meeting with Yolanda Saldívar (Natasha Perez), the woman responsible for her 1995 murder.

The highly anticipated Thai thriller television series Girl From Nowhere is returning with a second season. Netflix has also released a trailer for Girl From Nowhere season 2. Moreover, the foreign language show is one of the best thrillers available on the streaming giant. The 2018 anthology series became a fan favorite as soon as it was released due to its compelling storyline and episodes. The show depicts the hypocrisy and the real identities of people in this greedy world. Girl From Nowhere season 2 now also has a release date, a trailer. So, go ahead and catch all the updates on the upcoming show.

Girl From Nowhere is a Thai television series. The mystery and fantasy show was released in August 2018. Jupiter’s Legacy (Season 1) - Netflix

Jupiter’s Legacy is another subversive take on caped crusaders that puts a darker spin on the genre than more mainstream fare.

The series takes place almost a century after the world’s first superheroes burst onto the scene, as they look ahead to the next generation to continue fighting the good fight when they are no longer around.

Unfortunately, what they see doesn’t exactly fill them with hope, as the offspring of The Utopian and Lady Liberty – leaders of super-team The Union of Justice – are battling addictions and tabloid scandals.

As the world teeters on the brink of financial ruin and unexpected new villains present themselves, the question remains whether they will be able to step-up to meet their parent’s legacy.

Shrill‘s swan song will unspool this spring, when the Hulu comedy’s third and final season premieres on Friday, May 7 with all eight episodes, our sister site Variety reports.

Star/executive producer Aidy Bryant tells the site that in the upcoming installments, “Annie ends up in a place where hopefully a lot of people end up if they have a reckoning with their own self-hatred and those kinds of things, where it’s like, ‘OK, I have a better handle on this when it started. Does it still rear its ugly head and punch me in the face sometimes? Absolutely, but now I know how to cope with it.'”

“Part of what this season is is just realizing that there is no end for people who are looking to find their own self-confidence. It is a constant, everyday thing. There isn’t a final, ‘She wins’ or ‘she loses,'” Bryant continues.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch – Episode 101 - Disney +

A sequel and spin-off of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, The Bad Batch follows Clone Force 99, also known as the Bad Batch, a group of elite clone troopers with genetic mutations who take on daring mercenary missions in the aftermath of the Clone Wars.

Pray, Obey, Kill, Docu-Series Finale - HBO

Pray, Obey, Kill is a five-part docuseries, directed by Henrik Georgsson, that examines a 2004 shooting in the tiny Swedish town of Knutby that left Fossmo’s wife Alexandra dead and his neighbor, Daniel Linde, severely injured. Although Fossmo was convicted of “instigating” the murder of his wife and the attempted murder of his neighbor, he claims that he didn’t do what he admitted to authorities in 2006. He is able to be interviewed because he is on a leave from his life sentence.
