Top 20 Romantic Things To Do With Your Partner. Photo KnowInsiders

Asking yourself this question shows that you want to keep your relationship exciting and fresh. Both people in the relationship should make an effort to come up with romantic couples’ activities you’ll both enjoy.

You can create romance by going on adventures together, challenging each other, and kindling the romance with new experiences to keep your sense of love for each other dynamic.

Sometimes it’s difficult to think of new things to do with your partner that can add some fun and adventure to your lives.

1.Bring a picnic to the park

If it is a sunny day or a nice evening, pack up a picnic and take it to a local park. Sit on the grass, watch as other people go by, and enjoy a leisurely meal together outside. If there is a pond, make sure to save some bread crumbs from your meal to feed the ducks.

2. Watch the sunset

Find a beautiful setting, whether in a clear field or on top of a hill, to watch the sunset. Look at the colors of the sky together and slowly watch as the sun settles below the horizon.

3. Rent a paddle boat

Find a local lake that rents paddle boats for the day and spend an afternoon on the lake alone with your partner, enjoying the views and the quiet sounds.

4. Write Each Other a Love Letter

About five years ago I wrote a love letter to my future self, but it got me to thinking that I had never written one to my husband of eighteen years. Let’s bring it back to old school; the days where letters were handwritten, sealed with a kiss and mailed at the post office. Love letters are a physical memory that will last a lifetime.

5. Exercise

The benefits of exercising together are plenty. Not only will you get to spend more time together, but you'll also improve your overall health, get in better shape, and even enhance your sex life. After all, exercise has been linked to improved body image, reduced sexual and erectile dysfunction, and short- and long-term arousal in women.1

This might mean taking a walk together, going to a yoga class, using an exercise app at home, or playing a fitness game on a video game console. Exercising together can also be in the form of a strenuous activity that provides a workout like painting a room, cleaning out a basement, or planting a garden.

Relaxing and focusing on your breath with your partner can be both calming and relaxing. This is a romantic way to bond with your partner and generate a sense of inner peace together.

5. Get a Couples Massage

A couples massage is one of the hottest treatments at luxury spas all over the world. What could be more romantic than lying side-by-side with your boyfriend, girlfriend or spouse other in the most relaxing environment? If a full body massage is not your cup of tea, try a soothing foot massage, where you will get your tootsies rubbed by a professional. Or, for a even more intimate couples bucket list goal, you can learn how to give each other a sexy tranquilizing massage.

6. Cook Dinner Together

Food and romance have be linked throughout history, mix in some intriguing conversation and you have the best date night ever. The dishes that you create on this night will become a significant part of celebrating other events in your lifetime. My husband and I have taken cooking classes all over the world (our favorite was learning to make pad thai in Thailand), but none were quite as special as spending a quiet evening at home drinking a bottle of wine and creating delicious recipes.

7. Binge Watch a New TV Series

Cook up some popcorn, cozy up under a blanket and find the perfect TV series to binge watch. My husband and I just obsessively watched all the seasons of The Good Place and Schitt’s Creek. They were both fantastic!

8. Create a Collaborative Spotify Playlist

Whether you're heading on a road trip or just like to listen to music at home, you'll need a good playlist. Blend your tastes to create one you both love.

9. Make Each Other Breakfast in Bed

You take Saturday, your partner takes Sunday. Whip up your S.O.'s favorite dish and enjoy from bed.

10. Come Up With Pet Names For Each Other

A visit to the Mob Museum in Las Vegas initiated me affectionately nicknaming my husband Peter Petey Chops after a famous mobster. Your idea of the perfect pet name may not be after a gambling felon (I totally understand!), so check out these 500 other cute nicknames for him or her.

11. Redecorate

Pick a room to redecorate together. It could be a room that needs an organizational makeover or a room that you want to freshen up since you use it often. Decorating the perfect room isn't about being a master interior designer. It's about the time you and your partner spend together while reorganizing, repurposing, or reevaluating the needs you have for a particular room or space in your home.

12. Recreate Your First Date

If your first date wasn't that memorable, pick one of your early dates that is. Recreate your first moments together and feel all the feels.

13. Start a New Hobby

Find common ground and look for hobbies you would enjoy together. If you can't agree on an activity you both enjoy, choose to do separate hobbies in the same room or on the same couch. For instance, if one person likes to scrapbook, they can do that while their partner plays video games.

14. Play Games

Whether you're hitting the Xbox together or sitting down for some face-to-face time with a good card game, board game, or puzzle, games can be a great stress reliever. Playing games with your partner will present you with plenty of moments to laugh and test your competitive spirit. Games can be sexy, too. Think strip poker or Twister. Why not? Game on!

Play “Would you rather”

This game opens up a lot of new conversations that you likely have never had with your partner. You can learn more about each other and likely even more about yourself. There are some creative questions out there for this game, so do some research and find some really outlandish questions to ask each other.

15. Travel

Pack your suitcase and get away for the night, weekend, or a week-long trip. A romantic getaway recharges you both and gives you some quality time outside of your normal routine.

If your budget is tight, opt for a one-night excursion or consider booking a home rental through a website such as VRBO, AirBnB, or HomeToGo.

Suggestion: Because you live there and experience your area every day, you may wonder why other people see your hometown as a vacation destination. Find the things around your town that a tourist would definitely have on their itinerary and rediscover your roots.

16. Ask each other powerful questions

Asking questions can be really fun and enlightening, especially if you have been married for a long time and think you know everything about each other. This will definitely have the two of you connecting and laughing in no time.

17. Conduct a “year in review”

Spend some time with your partner recounting everything you have done over the past year. Highlight the best times you’ve had together and talk about how you were able to be resilient through the tough times. Think about how much you have grown as individuals and as a couple. Then, talk about your relationship goals for next year.

18. Break a record

Look in the Guinness Book of World Records and spend the day or evening trying to break one that piques your interest. You can either try to do this together as a team or create a competition out of it and compete against each other to find out who has the best record.

19. Go thrift shopping

This is the ultimate treasure hunt! You never know what you are going to find and it is a fun to do with your partner so you can share the thrill.

If you are in a rut for date ideas, there are a lot of things you can do to shake things up a bit and bond with your partner.

20. Take a Dance Class Together

You or your partner might have two left feet, but that makes it so much more fun, right? Pick a style out of your comfort zones and enjoy some laughs and romance.
