Airplanes were once considered a scientific toy, the invention of the telephone was originally considered a children's toy…but today are indispensable things in human life.
Pioneers always do things differently, this is always true in scientific creation. Because it is so new and goes against social habits, many inventions have to go through a period of testing public opinion in order to be recognized for their value.
Today, we'll look at some of the world's youngest and brightest inventors who have something to offer the world, no matter how big or tiny.
1. Jack Andraka
Born: January 8, 1997
15-year-old Jack Andraka has invented nanotubes, which can save thousands of pancreatic cancer patients. Due to the lack of funding in the development of ELISA, cancer detection equipment is expensive, unreliable and has not been regularly updated for more than 60 years.
However, with the creation of carbon nanotubes, Andraka and his mentor at John Hopkins University found a reliable and cost-effective test method many times over.
At first, 199 laboratories rejected the boy's idea. However, later, a professor gave him the opportunity to present and help him put the idea into practice.
With this invention, Andraka won the Smithsonian American Ingenuity Achievement Award and was awarded $75,000 at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair.
2. Frank Epperson
Invention: Ice pop
In 1905, 11-year-old Frank Epperson left a mixture of water and soda in a mug with a stirrer on his porch. It was a cold evening, and the next morning, Epperson discovered that the cup had frozen. The boy tasted it and found it very delicious, so he named the dish "Epsicle". Eighteen years later, Epperson isn't pursuing his accidental invention. However, he still makes this special dish for his children to eat.
It was not until 1923 that Epperson commercialized his product and applied for a patent. He then created a series of new flavors and distributed his popsicles to the public.

Becky took matters into her own hands and began experimenting with phosphorescent materials, which emit light but do not emit heat. The Glow Sheet was produced when she covered an acrylic board with phosphorescent paint.
Becky became the youngest woman to be granted a U.S. patent for her Glo-Sheet innovation at the age of 12.

His patent for ear mufflers was issued in 1877, barely three years after he created his helpful little invention. His innovation was an instant hit, and he was selling thousands of units each year. Greenwood's Champion Ear Protectors were their name.
6. Philo Farnsworth
Invention: Television Set
Would you believe that the television set was conceived by a 14-year-old? Philo Farnsworth was 14 years old when he drew his first schematic for a prototype device capable of displaying electrically generated pictures. This prompted him to construct appropriate video tubes a few years later to aid in the creation of what would become the first television set. While the television set has changed in many ways throughout the years, Farnsworth's invention has made it even more attractive and viable. Several of his early prototypes from his childhood may be viewed in a museum in Rigby, Idaho.

Before that, Leonardo da Vinci also tried to create a computer like Pascal but failed.
10. George Westinghouse
Born: October 6, 1846
Invention: steam engine
He was the inventor of the steam engine at the age of 19. His invention started the railroad industry with a rotating steam engine and a rail brake system using compressed air. These inventions enabled trains to run at greater speeds and at the same time safer. By 1905, about 2 million vehicles and about 90,000 locomotives had Westinghouse's automatic rapid-response braking system installed.
