Dessert is no doubt the best meal of the day—ice creams, and cupcakes and brownies, oh my. But often desserts require extremely detailed and time-consuming recipes, and let’s be honest, ain’t nobody got time for that. To save you time, I rounded up recipes for 13 seriously delicious quick desserts that you can make in five minutes or less.

1. Apple Crumble

Oh yes, Apple Crumble in only five minutes. You can even swap the apples for other fruits that are in season—I recommend peaches in the summer.

Method:

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over gentle heat and add the apples, cinnamon and sugar. Cook for 10 mins or until the apples have softened but still hold their shape.

Split the mixture between four sundae glasses or bowls. Sit 2 scoops of ice cream on top of each, followed by the crushed biscuits. Serve while the apple mix is still warm, Bbcgoodfood noted.

2. Fairy Bread Roll-Ups

These fairy bread roll-ups only have four ingredients and are super easy to make because they don’t require even one second of cooking time.

Method:

1. Cut and core apples, and chop into about 1-inch pieces.

2. Add apples, water, and cinnamon to a large soup pot. Cook over medium-low heat until apples are mushy and water is incorporated into applesauce, about 45 minutes.

3. Turn off heat. Use a potato masher to roughly mash apples into chunky applesauce. You can also use a mixer (which will create an even chunkier sauce) or a food processor or blender (both of which will create a smoother sauce).

4. Transfer to a serving bowl and serve immediately, or store in the fridge for up to a week.

3. Crispy Chocolate Pumpkin Bites

These lil’ chocolate pumpkin bites are gluten-free and are the perfect dessert for sharing, according to Spoonuniversity.

Method:

Put the Rice Chex in a ziplock bag and crush them with your hands.

Place the chocolate into a bowl and put it in the microwave to melt.

Mix all ingredients together except for the pumpkin pie spice.

Pack tablespoon-sized clumps of the mixture together in your hand to form small balls.

Dust each ball lightly with pumpkin pie spice.

4. 5 Minute Microwave Brownie

This luxurious five-minute brownie is the perfect chocolatey dessert. Since it takes less than a minute to prepare and less than a minute to cook, we think 5 minutes is actually too long!

Method:

Melt butter in a microwave-safe mug or ramekin.

Butter should be melted, not boiling.

Stir together butter, sugars, vanilla and salt.

Stir in egg yolk. Do not use egg white! Save for a different recipe or discard.

Add flour and cocoa powder and stir again until well combined.

Finally, add chocolate chips.

Cook for about 45 seconds in the microwave. Do not overcook. Microwave times may vary.

5. Vegan Walnut Expresso Brownies

This delicious vegan dessert is perfect for anyone who likes a more adult taste. Seasoned with a little salt, these brownies are soft and moreish.

Method:

Place 1 cup walnuts and 1 cup almonds in food processor and process until finely ground (amounts as original recipe is written // adjust if altering batch size).

Add the cocoa powder or cacao, espresso powder and sea salt. Pulse to combine and then transfer to bowl and set aside.

Add the dates to the food processor and process until small bits remain. Remove from bowl and set aside.

Add nut and cocoa mixture back into food processor and while processing, drop small handfuls of the date pieces down into the food processor spout. Process until a dough consistency is achieved, adding more dates if the mixture does not hold together when squeezed in your hand.

Add the brownie mixture to a small parchment lined cake pan or loaf pan and add remaining roughly chopped walnuts (1/2 cup as original recipe is written). Toss to combine and evenly distribute, and then press down with you hands until it is flat and firm.

Place in freezer or fridge to chill before cutting. Store in an airtight container to keep fresh. Will keep in the fridge for at least 2 weeks and in the freezer for at least 2 months.

6. Cookie Waffle

This totally delicious dessert takes less than five minutes to cook. It only has three ingredients, so it is perfect for you if you don’t want to make too much of an effort. Plus, it tastes amazing, Lifehack noted.

Method:

Start by greasing both halves of the waffle maker. Then add several pieces of cookie dough. Press each piece down lightly. Until the entire surface is covered...

This is also the point where you'll turn the waffle maker *on*. Waiting until the surface is covered to do so will ensure even cooking on both sides. Let it cook for about 2 to 4 minutes...

Exact time will depend on the heat of your waffle maker, so check periodically to make sure it's not burning. Lift it out using a spatula... If you have a smaller waffle maker, you can also flip it over cleanly onto a plate. Add the final touches. Then bask in the masterpiece you've created*:

7. Chocolate chip cookie dough

If you're the sort of person who eats most of the cookie dough before it heads into the oven (guilty), satisfy your sweet tooth with no-bake cookie dough made with oats, cashew butter, protein powder and chocolate chips.

Method:

Blend oats until a fine flour is formed.

In a large mixing bowl, combine your oat flour, granulated sweetener, protein powder, sea salt and mix well.

Stovetop or in the microwave, melt your nut butter with sticky sweeteners. Pour into the dry mixture, except for the chocolate chips. Mix very well until combined. If dough is too thick, add dairy free milk until desired batter is formed. Stir through chocolate chips and mix until combined. Transfer for a bowl and enjoy!

8. Chocolate-drizzled fruit skewers

For an even healthier dessert, these easy skewers are loaded with fruit and drizzled with melted chocolate. They're quick to make and are the ultimate fun treat for kids, too, Huffingtonpost said.

Method:

Alternative strawberries and grapes onto wooden skewers (about 6-7 pieces of fruit per skewer)

Lay flat on parchment or a large plate.

Melt chocolate chips in a microwave (in 10 second increments) or over a double-boiler on stovetop.

Using a spoon or pipped into a piping bag or ziploc bag, drizzle fruit with chocolate.

Let sit for 10 minutes and chocolate should harden.

Store in fridge until ready to serve.

9. Mini Cinnamon Rolls

The secret behind these 8-minute bites is in the refrigerated section

Method:

Start by smacking open a tube of crescent roll dough. (File that under top 5 most satisfying feelings in life.) Place half the dough next to each other then pinch the seams together. Flip then repeat.

Next, take a rolling pin then roll the dough into a smooth square about 1/4″ thick. Brush on 1 Tablespoon butter then sprinkle with cinnamon and add a dusting of brown sugar. No need to measure – just go with your gut!

Roll the dough into a log then cut into 8 even slices. Place the rolls into a non-stick sprayed mini muffin tin then bake for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown.

Whee! Aren’t they the cutest? I can’t even describe how delicious they smell warm out of the oven!

As the mini cinnamon rolls bake, mix up a quick icing made from maple syrup, powdered sugar, and a little bit of milk. While the cinnamon rolls are still warm, drizzle a teaspoon or two of the icing on top of each one.

10. Mini Cherry Pies

This treat turns patriotic AF treat in the oven after 10 minutes, Tasty noted.

Method:

Use a 2″ circle cutter to cut circles (clearly) out of the pie dough. Using a mini muffin tin, place one circle in each opening. This is a great Mini Muffin Pan.

Place 2 tablespoons of filling in each tart shell (I used cherry pie filling and it was 4 cherries per pie)

Cut patriotic shapes out of the remaining pie dough and top each tart with a dough shape.

Make an egg wash by beating one egg with 2 Tbsp. of water and brushing the top of each tart.

Bake in a 425º oven for 5 minutes.
