SOLAR OPPOSITES Season 2: Updated News, Teaser and How to Watch!
“Rick and Morty” co-creator Justin Roiland first conceived of “Solar Opposites” as a live-action, family-friendly alien version of “The Odd Couple” for Fox. But then it became animated and he partnered with “Rick and Morty” writer-producer Mike McMahan — and that’s when they went wild with comedy about a family of aliens forced to find a new home in middle America.
The series was also Hulu’s most-watched adult animation series over the first weekend it was available on the streaming service. And this year, 2021, "Solar Opposites" will come back on Hulu with season 2.
Solar Opposites preview
In fact, according to Hulu, more than 40% of viewers who started the series binged all season one episodes within two days of launch. Solar Opposites has already been renewed for two more seasons.

So, what's the story? According to Variety, the series follows four aliens, Korvo (Justin Roiland), Yumyulack (Sean Giambrone), Terry (Thomas Middleditch), and Jesse (Mary Mack), who escape their exploding homes to start a new life in suburban America. The upcoming season will see the pack on a mission to protect the Pupa, a living supercomputer that will one day evolve, consume them and terraform the Earth.
The show is witty and clever, but also quite violent and occasionally insane. As one critic puts it, "Solar Opposites delivers an exceptional first season that's as good, if not even better than Rick and Morty in some ways." Excitement intensifies, Finder cites.

The first teaser for Season 2 of Solar Opposites features what feels like an entire short scene. In it, Korvo (Roiland) celebrates as the “family” prepares to leave Earth on their newly repaired ship. Things, naturally, don’t go to plan and the ship crashes back on top of their house, creating some brutal collateral damage for their neighbors. In a meta moment, the characters lament that they’ve lost progress and are back to where they were a year ago, i.e., back to the status quo of Season 1, Cheat Sheet cites.
The clip also confirms that the zany animated series will return to Hulu on March 26. Just like the first season, all eight episodes will drop at the same time. Hulu shows usually become available at 3:00 a.m. Alongside Roiland, Thomas Middlemitch, Sean Giambrone, and Mary Mack will also return as the other members of the Solar Opposites thrown-together family, Terry, Yumyulack, and Jesse.
