The games are coming thick and fast in the Premier League, as England's top flight speeds toward a May finale.

There's still a fair few matches between now and then, but the title race is inching toward finality as a dominant Manchester City continues to put distance between itself and all other challengers. City's closest rival for the title just happens to be its closest rival, as Manchester United currently occupies second place.

Fourteen points separate the Nos. 1 and 2 sides, and if United is going to disrupt the Sky Blues' title aspirations a win in Sunday's Manchester derby will surely be a part of it.

Elsewhere, Liverpool looks to rebound from yet another lifeless home performance when relegation-threatened Fulham visits on Sunday, while surging Chelsea will try to keep Everton out of the top four spots when they meet on Monday.

Manchester City vs Manchester United

It's derby time in Manchester, with City and United tangling as the top two teams in the table. But Man City are in an entirely different stratosphere at the moment, having reeled off an incredible 21 consecutive victories across all competitions – a run that includes a thorough 2-0 triumph over rival Man United in a Carabao Cup encounter back on Jan. 6.

You can be sure that United will struggle mightily to do much offensively against a City side that has allowed just eight goals over the course of its winning streak. It's also worth noting that Man City have scored in just one of the previous five meetings between the teams. This has all the makings of a low-scoring affair, leading to a betting choice that comes with rather solid odds.

West Ham vs Leeds United

The final game of Matchday 27 could feature plenty of fireworks, with a pair of top-eight offenses in West Ham and Leeds United clashing at London Stadium. West Ham maintain a tenuous grip on fourth place (and the final Champions League qualifying spot) entering Thursday and are modest favorites against a Leeds side that has stumbled to losses in three of its last four.

There isn't much in the way of recent head-to-head history, but these teams combined for three goals in their previous encounter back on Dec. 11. Both teams average above 2.5 goals per game on the season, with Leeds actually above 3.0 so far. This might not be your biggest payday of the weekend, but it certainly represents one of the safer plays you'll make, as reported by Covers.

Burnley vs Arsenal

Do the Gunners have enough in them to roar out of the middle of the Premier League table and steal a European place? The odds are not in their favor as they prepare to face host Burnley on Saturday. Arsenal sit 10th in the table through 26 uninspiring weeks, with an identical number of wins and losses and an equally mediocre plus-seven goal differential for the season.

The Gunners have gone more than a month without posting a clean sheet, but are in prime position to end that drought this weekend against a Burnley side that has recorded a league-low 19 goals. Burnley stole a 1-0 away win in their previous meeting back in December, but Arsenal played the last 40 minutes of that game with 10 men. We like them to return the favor Saturday.

Aston Villa vs Wolves

Aston Villa plays hosts to Wolves on Saturday as they look to bounce back from a disappointing defeat to bottom of the table Sheffield United on Wednesday. Dean Smith’s men have been without star Jack Grealish for the last three games due to a small injury and there’s no question his absence has hurt the side.

The Lions have won just once in their last three appearances, narrowly finding a 1-0 result against Leeds last weekend. On a more positive note though, there is a belief that he will be available for selection on Saturday against Wolves.

There’s really no sugarcoating it, this has been a very underwhelming season for Wolverhampton. They’re currently in the 12th spot and a far cry from a Europa League spot. Raul Jimenez’s gruesome injury at the beginning of the term has left a hole in their attack, especially with Adama Traore’s lack of form.

Wolves played victim to league leaders Manchester City on Tuesday, suffering a 4-1 defeat. However, prior to that, Nuno Espirito Santo’s men went unbeaten in three matches, including back-to-back victories over Southampton and Leeds. Striker Pedro Neto continues to impress, leading the side with five goals and five assists. His creativity and technical abilities in the final third have been a clear positive for Wolves this term.

If Grealish does end up returning, I like Villa here to collect the three points. But if he is once again sidelined, Wolves should have no issue picking up a point on the road. Keep an eye out for Villa’s top performer’s status for this EPL Matchday 27 fixture because it will certainly play a key part in the result, according to Sportsbettingdime.

Brighton vs Leicester City

Brighton will be seeking a much-needed result against Leicester City as they’re currently just three points off the relegation zone. The Seagulls have been in poor form as of late, going winless in their last five matches across all competitions. Their last victory actually came against Liverpool in early February, where they upset the Reds at Anfield.

Although Leicester has also been out of form, Brighton’s history against the Foxes hasn’t been great. They’ve already lost twice to them this term and are winless in seven Premier League fixtures against their EPL Matchday 27 opponents. To boot, Graham Potter’s men have failed to score on five of those occasions.

If Leicester City doesn’t smarten up soon, they’re going to find themselves out of the top four. Luckily, Brendan Rodgers’ side is still in third spot, but just three points ahead of Chelsea who is in fourth. The Foxes have won just once in their previous five games while bowing out in the Europa League Round of 32 to Slavia Prague.

Jamie Vardy is in a massive goal-scoring drought, last netting way back on February 13th. Their backline has also looked shaky, conceding three to Arsenal last weekend in another defeat. Wednesday’s 1-1 draw with Burnley was another massive disappointment, but their history of success against Brighton should have Leicester feeling confident ahead of Saturday’s clash.

I’m definitely going with the visitors here. Although the Foxes have been struggling, a result is due and they have frankly dominated Brighton. Expect Vardy to finally find the back of the net as well.

Chelsea vs Everton

Chelsea takes on Everton in EPL Matchday 27, fresh off a massive result against Liverpool. The Blues continue to thrive under Thomas Tuchel, stretching their unbeaten run to 10 games with the German in charge. It was truly a brilliant performance from Chelsea, with Mason Mount breaking the deadlock in the 42nd minute with a terrific solo goal.

Now in the top four and just a point ahead of Everton, this fixture is extremely important for their Champions League hopes. After the Toffees already beat them earlier in the term by a goal, Chelsea will be searching for a much different result this time around.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side is also enjoying a nice run of form, with three consecutive victories against Liverpool, Southampton, and West Brom. During that span, Everton’s backline has kept a clean sheet in each and every appearance.

With a win on Monday, the Toffees can surpass the Blues and move into a UCL spot. It will be a tall task ahead though, considering Chelsea is unbeaten in their last 25 home games against the Merseysiders. They also haven’t completed the league double against them since the 1978-1979 season.

This is a tough one to call because both sides are playing very well currently. Goals are few and far between lately for Chelsea and Everton though, so I’m going with a draw here at Stamford Bridge.

Premier League betting card for Matchday 27

Arsenal clean sheet (+120)

Manchester City-Manchester United Under 2.5 (+110)

West Ham-Leeds Over 2.5 (-150)

ODDS & ENDS

Under 2.5 Goals at +118 is very tempting for the Manchester Derby.

Leicester City is excellent value at +163 despite their injury problems. No matter how much Brighton dominates a game, they just can’t seem to win.

Everton or the Draw at +150 is worth thinking about.
