International Picnic Day: Meaning
We love a good picnic and a day trip. Don't we? People from all over the world love to go on picnics with their friends and family to spend quality time together. Because of its popularity, International Picnic Day is held every year on June 18. It might not be possible to have picnics this year, but that doesn't mean we can't celebrate in any other way. Put out a mat in the middle of your living room, turn on some nice music, and enjoy the day with food and games.

Pay special attention to parks or museums in your area that host these kinds of events often. If one is going on nearby, join in. It should be set up if it isn't already.
Take your own picnic for lunch or dinner.
Get on your bike, walk, or hike to a nearby scenic area and have a picnic today. You could also just bring your sandwiches and cold hard-boiled eggs to the garden and eat them outside. People who have to work during the day can go to a nearby park or grassy area during their lunch break.

Finding the best place for a picnic is a great reason to get out and see your city. There are likely hidden parks all around you that you haven't had the chance to visit yet. You might discover a new favorite!
