Tottenham are top of the Premier League on goal difference. Jose Mourinho's side have 25 points from 12 games, the same as Liverpool, but their goal difference of +14 is five better than the Reds' at the moment.
Liverpool were lucky to come away from Craven Cottage with a point on Sunday night. The Reds were dominated in the first half, and could well have been down by multiple goals, if not for some poor finishing and excellent goalkeeping from Alisson Becker. Eventually, a late Mohamed Salah penalty helped them draw level, but couldn't prevent Liverpool from dropping points for a fifth successive away league game.
The last time Liverpool won away in the league was in September, when they beat Chelsea 2-0 at Stamford Bridge.
Tottenham weren't at their best on Sunday, as they drew 1-1 against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. Harry Kane gave them the lead in the first half, but they were dominated in the second half before Jeff Schlupp eventually equalized for the Eagles.

Liverpool
Liverpool's injury crisis has shown no signs of slowing down any time soon. Naby Keita missed Sunday's game against Fulham with a fitness issue. In that game, Joel Matip was taken off at halftime after he was affected by back spasms.
Klopp has raised hope that the Cameroonian could recover in time for this match, but if not then either Rhys Williams or Nat Phillips could be drafted in instead.
Matip joins an already lengthy list of injury concerns, which now includes Diogo Jota and Kostas Tsimikas, both of whom could miss up to two months after picking up injuries in last week's Champions League dead-rubber against FC Midtjylland.
Virgil van Dijk, Thiago Alcantara, Joe Gomez, James Milner, and Xherdan Shaqiri also remain sidelined, while Naby Keita is not expected to be available after suffering a fresh muscle injury.

Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham's injury problems are a lot less severe, with Erik Lamela likely to be the only absentee for the visitors in this match.
Gareth Bale missed the weekend draw with Crystal Palace due to illness, but Mourinho expects the Real Madrid loanee to have recovered in time for the trip to Merseyside.
Son Heung-min and Harry Kane are almost certain to start again having combined to score for the 12th time this season against Palace - already the second-highest tally for an entire Premier League season, after Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton's 13-goal haul in 1994-95.
Kane alone has been directly involved in 19 goals from his 12 Premier League games this season, and could smash the record for quickest to reach double figures in both goals and assists in a season - currently held by Cesc Fabregas, who managed it in 17 games.

Liverpool vs Tottenham Prediction
Liverpool 1-1 Tottenham Hotspur is the score that SportsMole predicted. While this promises to be a fascinating contest, that does not necessarily mean that it will be a thriller, and Mourinho will no doubt set up to soak up pressure before looking to hit Liverpool's depleted backline on the break - something they are capable of doing to devastating effect.
It would not be too much of a surprise to therefore see Spurs end Liverpool's long home unbeaten run here, but it is nigh-on impossible to back against the Reds at Anfield right now. Klopp's side seems to get the job done time after time on home territory, so we are sitting on the fence and predicting a draw here.
In contrast, Squawka says that the scoreline prediction is Liverpool 2-1 Tottenham.

Highlighted NewsHarry Kane has been directly involved in five goals across his six away Premier League games against Liverpool (four goals, one assist). The England international has also netted in four games at Anfield but is yet to be on the winning side (two draws, two losses). Only Nigel Clough (fives games) and Dougie Freedman (six games) have scored in more games at a single stadium without ever winning in Premier League history. Mourinho has also never won away against Klopp in five attempts across all competitions (two draws, three losses), making the German the manager he has faced more times away from home without ever tasting victory during his career. |
