The 2021NFL schedule is officially here. With free agency mostly over with and the 2021 NFL Draft in the rearview mirror, we can begin to preview the 2021 season. The AFC West should be one of the best divisions in the NFL. The Kansas City Chiefs will be motivated after falling short in the Super Bowl last year, the Los Angeles Chargers are excited to move forward with their franchise quarterback in Justin Herbert, the Las Vegas Raiders feel they made some improvements to become more competitive and the Denver Broncos appeared to have had one of the best drafts of any NFL team.

The Chiefs have won the division five years in a row, but could that change in 2021? Additionally, how many teams will the AFC West send to the playoffs? Below, we will break down the Raiders' 2021 schedule.

Raiders key games

Week 3 vs. Miami Dolphins: The Raiders suffered a tough, 26-25 loss to the Dolphins in Week 16 last year, as Ryan Fitzpatrick replaced Tua Tagovailoa and completed a miraculous, 41-yard throw which set up a game-winning field goal. There's no more Fitzpatrick to save Tagovailoa if he struggles this time around, and the Raiders will be out for revenge.

Week 1 vs. Baltimore Ravens: The Raiders have only faced Lamar Jackson once, back in 2018, and lost by 17. Las Vegas' defense ranked No. 25 overall in the league last year while the Ravens had the best rushing attack in the NFL. There are reasons to expect Baltimore's passing attack will improve as well with the wide receiver additions the Ravens made this offseason.

Week 17 at Indianapolis Colts: The Raiders' Week 14, 44-27 loss to the Colts last year ended whatever playoff hopes they had. It dropped them to 7-6 and began what would turn out to be a three-game losing streak -- the longest losing streak of the Raiders' 2020 season. T.Y. Hilton and Jonathan Taylor both scored two touchdowns while Josh Jacobs was held to just 49 rushing yards. This Colts team may look different with Carson Wentz under center, but this is a rematch to watch.

Las Vegas Raiders 2021: Predictions

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

It looks to be a tough season for the Raiders as their 2021 schedule ranks as the third toughest in the NFL. Their road schedule looks particularly tough with no games against teams projected to win fewer than seven games. At home, the schedule is slightly easier, with three games against teams projected to win seven games or fewer.

Toughest opponents

The fact that the Raiders’ 2021 schedule ranks as the third toughest despite four games against the NFC East, and their “17th game” being against the Chicago Bears demonstrates how tough the rest of the schedule is. Thankfully, however, they have just four games against teams expected to win double-digit games.

Two of those games come within the division against the Kansas City Chiefs, who are projected to win 12 games. While the Raiders won one of the games against the Chiefs in 2020, that was just their third victory in the last eight years. Although they lost the second meeting, the Raiders stayed even with the Chiefs throughout the game, scoring 31 points and losing by four.

The other two games come against the Baltimore Ravens and Indianapolis Colts. If the Raiders have ambitions of the playoffs in 2021, winning games against key AFC rivals like these will be key.

Easiest opponents

The Raiders’ 2021 schedule will see them play four games against teams projected to win 7.5 games or fewer. Those four teams are the Cincinnati Bengals, Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants, and the Bears. Each of these teams could have quarterbacks playing on their rookie deals. The games against Joe Burrow, Jalen Hurts, and potentially Justin Fields are somewhat wildcards, given the limited game time we have seen all of those have in the NFL.

2021 season prediction

After two seasons that have seen the Raiders tread water, they stand on a knife-edge in 2021. A bad season now could lead to the Raiders’ ownership questioning the decision to hire Jon Gruden. On the contrary, an improvement could see the Raiders continue to build into potential challengers to the Chiefs.

With all four teams in the AFC West looking strong entering 2021, the Raiders’ far more difficult schedule could pose an issue. If they do not get victories in those easier games, there are a number of middle-of-the-road and trickier matchups that could cause them to have an underwhelming season.

Projected 2021 record: 6-11

Raiders toughest matchup

Week: 15 | Date: TBD | Time: TBD

Opponent: Cleveland Browns

We could list the Chiefs as the Raiders' toughest opponent, but since they are a divisional opponent, Las Vegas will get two shots at them. All four AFC West teams have to face the Browns this season, and they are no longer an easy W. The Raiders pulled out a 16-6 win in putrid Cleveland weather last year, but the Browns have confidence coming off of an 11-5 season and have made some solid additions in the offseason. The Browns are going to be a tough team to beat in 2021.

fuboTV is our top choice for watching NFL football games. This live TV streaming service has improved the quality of its service and channel offerings considerably over the last few years. fuboTV does not require a contract nor does it have any installation costs. It is also available on every major streaming device including smart TVs, phones, and tablets. This live streaming service gives subscribers access to most of the TV networks that carry NFL games such as CBS, FOX, ESPN, and NBC.

The Raiders have all 16 games on these channels. A major win for cord-cutters is that fuboTV now offers ESPN and ABC as part of their channel line-up. The service also the only streaming option to offer the NFL Network (R) and NFL RedZone (R). Also included are other popular channels such as FOX Sports Networks, RSNs, college football networks, FX, USA, NBA TV, and more.

fuboTV offers several different packages Family ($64.99/month), Ultra ($79.99/month), and fubo Latino ($24.99/month). The fubo Family package contains 94 channels; 3 screens at once, and 500 hours of cloud DVR; Ultra has 163 channels, 3 screens at once, 500 hours of cloud DVR, fubo Extra, SHOWTIME channels, and Sports Plus.

Raiders fans can get access to fuboTV by going through our link. Please read our comprehensive fuboTV review for more details about the service.

Watch Live Las Vegas Raiders Games With CBS All Access

Our second best choice for Las Vegas Raiders games is CBS All Access. There are 9 games on this service. With this service, you can watch every Las Vegas Raiders game that airs on CBS. You can watch these games live as they air. Subscribers can enjoy local NFL on CBS games live all season—including the CBS Sports pre-game studio show and The NFL Today.

Don’t let your location stop you from enjoying CBS tv shows and sports. CBS All Access subscribers should note that this service pairs well with a Virtual Private Network (VPN). Learn how to use a VPN to bypass blackout restrictions and geo-blocking. We recommend ExpressVPN because of speed and server availability.

There are two different plans, one with limited commercials and the other is commercial-free. The limited commercials plan only costs $5.99/month, making it one of the most affordable options available to watch AFC football. There is also a commercial-free plan that costs $9.99/month. Those who wish to sign-up for annual plans can save 15%! They also offer a 1-week free trial so if you just want to try it out or if you’re just looking to catch one game you will not be committed to anything.

In addition, subscribers also get access to all other CBS content including 10,000 episodes on demand such as NCIS, The Big Bang Theory, Star Trek: Discovery, and much more. You can watch on almost any device such as Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Chromecast, tablets, smartphones and TVs, and more.

Watch Live Raiders Game With Hulu + Live TV

Many may be familiar with Hulu as being an on-demand TV service to watch previously aired TV shows but Hulu now offers Hulu + Live TV. This is one of the best options to watch your favorite NFL team because they offer live TV broadcasts aired on NBC, CBS, FOX, and ESPN (in most markets). The only negative is that if you’re an NFL junkie that is looking for NFL Network and NFL RedZone you will not find it offered by Hulu + Live TV so the only games you won’t be able to watch are those that are exclusively aired out-of-market on NFL Network on Thursday Night Football.

You can watch all 16 games with this service. Hulu only offers one live streaming TV package which costs $64.99/month. One major positive to this service is that is only one of two streaming services that offer FOX Sports Regional Networks.

In addition to sports, Hulu + Live TV contains over 60 channels. Other popular channels offered by this service are A&E, Bravo, Cartoon Network, CNN, Discovery, Disney Channel, Disney Junior, E!, ESPN, Food Network, Fox News, Freeform, FX, FXX, HGTV, History, Investigation Discovery, Lifetime, MSNBC, Syfy, TBS, TLC, TNT, Travel Channel, truTV, and USA Network). and more.

Watch Live Raiders Game With Sling TV

Photo: SlingTV
Photo: SlingTV

Sling TV by itself is far from the best option due to the absence of CBS but if paired with an OTA antenna or CBS All Access you can watch every single game. Sling TV does not require a contract nor does it have any installation costs. This live TV streaming service offers FOX, ABC (R), NBC, and ESPN (R).

It was previously reported that Sling TV was not carrying NFL Network and NFL RedZone channels this season; however, Sling TV has come to an agreement and will be offering these channels for the entire 2020 NFL season. You can get NFL Network and NFL RedZone with the Sling Blue package.

The Raiders have 6 regular-season games on these channels. Notably missing is CBS; however, you can use Sling TV in conjunction with an OTA antenna. (New users can get a free OTA antenna through our link if they prepay 2 months)

Sling TV offers the Sling Orange and Sling Blue plans. Both streaming plans cost $35/month or you can get Orange + Blue for $50/month. There are a few important differences to note. The Sling Orange plan includes ESPN but does not include local channels. For this reason, you will want to purchase the Sling Blue plan to watch the games. Please read our comprehensive Sling TV review for more details.

Stream Live Las Vegas Games With AT&T TV NOW

AT&T TV NOW is another option available for streaming NFL games. It was formerly known as DIRECTV NOW. This service offers CBS, NBC, FOX, and ESPN which means you will be able to stream every in-market game. These channels are available on the Plus package which is available for $55/month. The Plus package has 45+ channels including BET, Cartoon Network, Comedy Central, Disney Channel, Fox Sports, TBC, TNT, and many more. Like the other streaming options, there are no installation costs or hidden fees.

NFL RedZone or NFL Network is not available on AT&T TV NOW which may be very disappointing for some NFL fans. However, if you sign up for the Max package you will get access to Fox Regional Sports Networks, as well as, HBO Max and Cinemax. Check to see if there are any special offerings to AT&T Unlimited customers. Also included is 500 hours of cloud-based DVR storage and 3 simultaneous streams.

Watch Las Vegas Raiders Games With A Digital Antenna

If you live within distance your local broadcast towers then you can watch every locally broadcast NFL game with a digital antenna. OTA antennas are the least expensive way to see most of the games. That means you can watch ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC with no monthly subscriptions.

Today’s antennas have come a long way from what you may have been used to as a child. The pictures are in high-definition and appear as good, if not better than the streaming services. Some antennas now have ranges that can be greater than 70 miles away from the tower.

OTA antennas can also be a great supplement for streaming service since many do not include all four of the major local channels. No NFL cord-cutting set up is complete without a digital antenna. Digital antennas come in both indoor and outdoor varieties. The best part is indoor antennas no longer have rabbit ears and some are as thin as a sheet of paper!

We recommend checking out Antenna’s Direct for the best indoor and outdoor antennas. You can also utilize their Transmitter Locator Tool to see which broadcast channels are available in your area.
