France can seal a place in the knockout stages of the 2022 World Cup when they resume Group D duties against Denmark at Stadium 974 on Saturday evening. Super Turtle has different predictions about the match.

Super Turtle: France will win

Like the prediction in the first leg, the turtle is confident over a win of France against Denmark, making France to secure a place in the knockout stage.

Les Bleus thumped Australia 4-1 this week to kick off the defence of their crown in perfect fashion, while Kasper Hjulmand's men were held to a goalless draw by Tunisia.

Despite that brief scare after falling behind, France looked incredibly sharp in forward areas against Australia, with Mbappe in particular looking right up for it. Denmark meanwhile looked toothless, for all there was some nice build-up, and will likely have to rely on their final group-stage match if they are to reach the last-16.

Romeo this time picked the flag of France first and then picked the flag of Denmark. He predicted a draw, not a win for France.

90min Prediction: France 3-1 Denmark

On the evidence of this year's Nations League alone, Denmark should be clear favourites against a team they defeated in Copenhagen and Paris. However, it would be misleadingly one-eyed to solely look at their two most recent meetings. As Kasper Schmeichel said: "When we play France at the World Cup, it will be a different match.”

The reigning champions are favourites going into the group game, especially if they can reproduce the scintillating swagger of their second half against Australia.

Yet, Denmark's manager Kasper Hjulmand is juggling more pressing decisions than his preferred defensive setup. In wake of the myriad of controversies surrounding the tournament, Hjulmand admitted: “I’m talking for myself as a human being when I say I find the situation difficult right now.”

Whatever the result against France, those conflicting interests will remain.

SportsMole Prediction: France 2-0 Denmark

Having been written off by many before the World Cup kicked off, France now have the wind in their sails after an emphatic opening-day victory, and their squad is still a hugely formidable one despite their plethora of injury concerns.

Denmark's spate of positive results against France both in and outside of the World Cup should lead to some optimism within the Red and Whites' ranks, but a largely toothless attacking performance versus Tunisia has not set them up well for a meeting with the holders, who we think will march on to the last 16 in comfortable fashion.

Following Karim Benzema's withdrawal - and Deschamps' refusal to select a replacement - France only have 24 available squad members.
