Dozens of Michigan Counties Used Software That Wrongfully Gave Votes to Democrats?

"In Antrim County, ballots were counted for Democrats that were meant for Republicans, causing a 6000 vote swing against our candidates. The county clerk came forward and said, 'tabulating software glitched and caused a miscalculation of the votes.' Since then, we have now discovered that 47 counties used this same software in the same capacity," Michigan GOP Chairwoman Laura Cox said.

After the glitch was fixed in Antrim County, President Trump was declared the winner of the county.

Earlier in the day RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel told Fox News there are serious voting irregularities in Michigan. She said the same at the press conference with Cox and said Democrats are refusing to be transparent about their process.

Biden is ahead by 146,123 votes in Michigan with 98 percent of ballots counted, and the Associated Press and major news networks declared him the winner.

Cox said that “since then, we have now discovered that 47 counties used this same software in the same capacity,” or more than half of Michigan’s 83 counties. She urged those counties to “closely examine their results for similar discrepancies.” Trump’s campaign circulated her remarks on Twitter.

The Detroit Free Press reports that Antrim County uses Dominion Voting Systems equipment. Results are stored on computer cards at precincts, then uploaded to another computer by county election officials.

Antrim County Clerk Sheryl Guy, a Republican, told that it’s unclear if human error or a glitch caused the error, which was discovered because a Democratic wins were incongruous with the county’s conservative leanings.

A Michigan judge on Thursday tossed out a lawsuit from the Trump campaign to halt the counting of ballots in the Wolverine State, ruling that the vote count had already ended — in Biden’s favor.

Trump won Michigan by just 10,704 votes in 2016 against Hillary Clinton, and Biden boasted of his apparently wider lead in Wednesday remarks, when the state’s race was still tighter.

Wisconsin tallies more votes than registered voters

As of November 6, 3.3 million votes have been counted in Wisconsin. This does not exceed the state’s 3.68 million active registered voters.

Twitter user Michael Coudrey claimed that votes counted in Wisconsin have exceeded the number of registered voters, alleging a “direct evidence of fraud.” He cites the total number of registered voters in Wisconsin at 3,129,000 in comparison to 3,239,920 votes cast.

A screenshot of the now-deleted Tweet continues to circulate on social media and has been amplified by local Facebook pages and accounts. Claim Check, Facebook's monitoring tool, flagged at least 6 posts containing this claim that circulated in the Philippines. Posts were shared on Thursday, November 5.

This claim is false. According to the Wisconsin Election Commission, “The State of Wisconsin had 3,684,726 active registered voters on November 1, 2020.”

As of 11:48 am, Friday, November 6 (Manila time), 3,297,420 votes have been counted in Wisconsin.

The inaccurate number of registered voters may have been pulled from the US Census Bureau’s data for the 2018 midterm elections.

On November 4, President Donald Trump made unprecedented claims of fraud and demanded a recount in Wisconsin, where Democratic candidate Joe Biden notched up another win to inch closer to overall victory. Biden was declared the winner of Wisconsin with an insurmountable lead of 20,000 after 98% of ballots had been counted.

Mail-in ballots are still being counted, too, and the Wisconsin Elections Commission said official results may take longer because there were about 1.9 million people in the state that returned absentee ballots. Absentee ballots take longer to process than ballots cast in person on Election Day.
