SBS’s new Monday-Tuesday drama “A Business Proposal” (“The Office Blind Date” / written by Han Sul-hee, Hong Bo-hee, directed by Park Sun-ho) to be premiered in February tells about a thrilling office romance of a ‘face genius’ CEO and a female employee who lies about her identity and goes on a blind date at the place of another person. Based on the web novel of the same name on Kakao Page, “A Business Proposal” was also produced as a webtoon and has gained explosive popularity.
The casting combination of Ahn Hyo-seop and Kim Se-jeong is raising drama fans’ excitement and expectations for a new “Rom-com Couple” to emerge. Ahn Hyo-seop and Kim Se-jeong will work together to perform the romance of the handsome and talented CEO Kang Tae-moo and Shin Ha-ri, an employee who goes on a blind date with the CEO of her company. The stories that happen in between Kang Tae-moo, who doesn’t know the identity of his blind date’s partner, and Shin Ha-ri, who has to hide her identity, will be portrayed sweetly and intensely.
|Ahn Hyo-seop and Kim Se-jeong appeared together as awards presenters for the Best Couple Awards at the 2021 SBS Drama Awards, attracting attention. Kim Se-jeong said, “We’ll be together at that place next year”, saying that she has aimed to become a “Rom-Com Couple” with Ahn Hyo-seop and shine in 2022. Let’s look forward to the airing of the first episode of “A Business Proposal” to see what kind of stories the two actors will show in the drama.|
Although they are the second lead couple, Cha Seong Hun (Kim Min Kyu) and Jin Young Seo already draw much attention from the viewers. The two fall for each other at first sight and after meeting a few times, they can’t stop thinking about each other. Although there have not been as many interactions between them compared to the main leads, Seong Hun and Young Seo’s chemistry already feels so natural and is expected to get more heart-fluttering in the coming episodes.

Twenty Five Twenty One alternates between the present day and the past as it parallels the struggles of youth during both the COVID-19 pandemic and the IMF (the International Monetary Fund) crisis. However, it also focuses on the romantic lives of five characters in the ’90s, with the main focus being on female lead Na Hee Do, played by Kim Tae Ri, and male lead Baek Yi Jin (sometimes romanized as Back Yi Jin), played by Nam Joo Hyuk.
K-drama fans have already witnessed Nam Joo-Hyuk play the handsome male protagonist with a sad secret in the 2016 hit Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo. But we’re glad his portrayal of Back Yijin is nuanced enough to separate him from the popular role. His chemistry with Kim Tae-Ri feels natural despite the relationship of their roles being questionable (more on this later), which makes each scene between them always interesting to watch.
Thankfully, their relationship is portrayed more as friendly and platonic in Episodes 1 to 8, with little to no romantic connotations, as well as no creepy ‘grooming’ undertones from Yijin’s character.
Still, because this is a romance drama, feelings for each other started to be revealed on Episode 9, after Yijin comes to Hee-Do’s aid when she gets injured preparing to compete. Yijin realised that he is in love with Hee-Do and eventually confessed to her. Hee-Do admitted that while her friendship with Yijin stirs her heart from time to time, she was still unsure if she has romantic feelings for him. Hee-Do politely rejected Yijin and Yijin accepted her rejection. The two remained friends.
Lee Ik Jun (Jo Jung Suk) and Chae Song Hwa (Jeon Mi Do) start off as friends in “Hospital Playlist.” Over the years, they continue to support each other and walk very similar paths in life, which only helped maintain their strong friendship. Lee Ik Jun and Chae Song Hwa were a couple we couldn’t help but get excited and happy about. Whenever these two were together on screen, their chemistry, connection, and storyline were always so comforting. They won the hearts of viewers all over the world, and their love for each other never let us down.

Deok Im (Lee Se Young) and Yi San (Lee Junho) were the couple of the holiday season. They not only rightfully earned the Best Couple award at the recent MBC Drama Awards, but they also kept hearts all over the world warm and fulfilled. The story of Yi San being head over heels in love with his court lady Deok Im was enough to garner a huge following, and people couldn’t help but obsess over the two and them becoming lovers. Their story was beautiful, heart-wrenching, and they will undoubtedly go down as being one of the best couples in K-drama history!

Kim Myung Hee (Go Min Si) and Hwang Hee Tae (Lee Do Hyun) were both trying to get by in life and figure out their identity in the world when they just so happened to find each other. Their love story is so romantic, set in the backdrop of the ’80s, where there is political upheaval and people fearing for their lives. Despite this, the two find solace and safety in each other, wanting nothing more than to be together. These two actors were also able to snag the Best Couple award at the 2021 KBS Drama Awards!
|Lee DoHyun and Go MinSi have worked together before on the apocalyptic webtoon adaptation of "Sweet Home" and fans were more than excited to see them together on "Youth of May". However, what fans swooned over even more than their on-screen chemistry was their off-screen dynamic. Anyone can tell that they enjoy working with each other and are great friends too!|
These two are absolutely adorable. Somehow, Yoon Sae Bom (Han Hyo Joo) and Jung Yi Hyun (Park Hyung Sik) were able to make fighting deadly diseases and being entrapped in an apartment building for the entire series very sweet and romantic. The highlight between these two was definitely seeing Yi Hyun protect Sae Bom time and time again. He was always willing to put his life on the line in order to make sure that she was safe. Their love went beyond that of logic, and it made the series that much more enjoyable to watch!

Vincenzo (Song Joong Ki) and Hong Cha Young (Jeon Yeo Been) play a refreshing duo as they join hands to take down villain Jang Joon Woo (Taecyeon). What made them so endearing was how they both worked so passionately together but were also able to make us laugh with their undercover costumes and antics. Although they didn’t have much physical interaction, the build up of tension until the very end was totally worthwhile and perfect.
Perhaps one of the most beloved couples on this list is Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin from tvN’s “Crash Landing On You.” This star-crossed lovers story starts when Yoon Se Ri (Son Ye Jin) crashes into North Korea while testing out her paragliding gear for her popular company called Se Ri’s Choice. It’s there that she meets the stoic soldier Ri Jung Hyuk (Hyun Bin), who eventually takes it upon himself to protect her and get her back to South Korea unharmed.
This drama charmed viewers from the moment it began, especially since fans were eager to see Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin reunite after their 2018 film “The Negotiation.” To say that Se Ri and Jung Hyuk had to fight tooth and nail for their happily ever after almost seems like an understatement. Their chemistry pulls you in throughout all the funny, angsty, and romantic scenes that this drama has to offer. They left a lasting impression on our hearts and are surely one of the most iconic couples in K-drama history.
This list really wouldn’t be complete without Yoon Hye Jin (Shin Min Ah) and Hong Doo Shik (Kim Seon Ho). The two exemplified such a beautiful romance, and their chemistry was sizzling from the very first teaser that we were blessed with. Their relationship taught viewers many things including forgiveness, healing, and learning to lean on others when times get tough. Doo Shik and Hye Jin completely embodied couple goals!
After the successful finale of Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, an anonymous netizen claiming to be Kim’s ex-girlfriend wrote that the actor urged her to have an abortion with the promise of marriage. She made the post in an online community in October. But after she terminated the pregnancy, she claimed that Kim “flipped out like a mad man” when she sent him the receipts for the procedure and began to threaten her. The lengthy post also touched on Kim’s overall behaviour, alleging that he was “cold and cruel” in real life, and that he would often badmouth his colleagues.
But then even more revelations surfaced. Dispatch, a tabloid known for investigating the private lives of Korean celebrities, published conversations between Kim and his ex-girlfriend, who was identified as former weather forecaster Choi Young-ah. The publication then ran a report that disputed Choi’s claims, detailing that Kim took full responsibility even to the extent of putting his career on hold. Kim apparently even cooked seaweed soup for her after the abortion, according to The Straits Times. After Dispatch’s exposé came to light, the online narrative shifted in favour of Kim.
